Creating A World That's Dancing - Dance Alchemy for the Soul with Kristen Mangione

Kristen Mangione was bullied and sexually abused as a child. She suppressed her natural self, deciding it was dangerous to be herself.

Always a dancer, she accidentally discovered ways to heal her shame and trauma through dance. She kept pursuing ways of using her choreography and dance. Introduced to Japanese Shiatsu, she experienced a powerful transformation that she decided to combine with her passion for dance. It has led her to create her own unique healing art called Dance Alchemy for the Soul.

Join us for an inspiring conversation that covers shame, abuse, trauma, and healing. Kristen generously shares her experiences in the hopes that other people will heal and let go of their shame and silence.

We also do an exercise called Accessing the Heart which you are encouraged to do as you watch the interview. It had a huge impact on me.

Bio:

Bio Kristen Mangione, The Dance Alchemist, is a choreographer, dancer, teacher, and healing artist committed to transforming the World through dance. Her movement meditation creation, Dance Alchemy for the Soul, is the synthesis of her over 20 years of dancing professionally, practicing and teaching Eastern philosophy and metaphysical studies. It is offered in course formats, virtually as well as in live events throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Her current project, Mapping the Heart, is about healing and opening the Heart’s energy field. Through a series of online events and new choreographic works, it is designed to heal and amplify the collective energy of humanity.
