After first learning about human trafficking, she committed her life to combating it-earning a certificate in Children's Outreach Ministry from Victory Bible College, serving as National Director for a grassroots anti-trafficking organization, and co-founding The Demand Project in 2013.

Even though Delia looked like a healthy active, bright young person, she was hiding under a huge thundercloud of pain which included childhood neglect, confusions and ultimately sexual abuse at the hands of a step-parent.
