A discussion, with my guest, the Rev. Lyle Beckman, San Francisco Night Minister, regarding updated outreach strategies for our post modern world. The old techniques (chick tracts, "turn or burn," etc.) do not work well today. The discussion centers on bringing people, mainly the non-church affiliated person, into a faith community. The discussion will rely heavily on Rev. Beckman's experience ministering in the late hours, on San Francisco's streets.

Host Recia Ann Young and guests: Michael Anthony, author, "Mass Casualties" and retired UCC Pastor, Rev. Dr. Daryl Clemens pick up the threads from the Veterans Day program regarding rituals/liturgies for returning veterans. Rev. Young picked up the thread and asked Michael, his opinionregarding the value of such rituals as were common in ancient societies. What follows is a compelling dialogue about helping the veteran re-adjust to civil society.

Megan discusses operating a truly needs based ministry as she let her clients help determine the new directions for her ministry once most of them were housed.
