Prophecy In The Spotlight with Daniel Goodwin

The Coming Global Kingdom

This broadcast discusses the rapid emergence of a unified global system through the lens of biblical prophecy, specifically the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation. The speakers analyze current political initiatives, such as the "Board of Peace," as potential precursors to the final world empire described in scripture.

Detailed Summary of Prophetic Insights

The Statue of Daniel and the Succession of Empires
The discussion centers on Daniel Chapter 2, which describes a great statue representing a succession of world kingdoms: Babylon (gold), Medo-Persia (silver), Greece (brass), and Rome (iron). The speakers emphasize that we are currently approaching the "ten toes" stage of the statue, characterized by a mixture of iron and clay, representing a revived global empire that will eventually be crushed by the "stone cut out of the mountain without hands," signifying the return of Jesus Christ 00:00-02:5912:46-13:18. This final system is viewed not just as a political entity but as a continuation of the Babylonian system currently operating behind the scenes in major financial and political hubs 00:53.

The Prophetic Timeline (Daniel 2)

  • 🏆 Head of Gold: Babylon (The starting point)
  • ⚔️ Arms of Silver: Medo-Persia
  • 🛡️ Belly of Brass: Greece
  • 👢 Legs of Iron: Rome
  • 👣 Ten Toes: The Revived Global Kingdom (Current Era)

The "Stone" (Christ) will eventually strike the feet, causing the entire human system to crumble. 00:00-02:59

The "Board of Peace" and Global Governance
A significant portion of the dialogue focuses on the "Board of Peace," a global initiative reportedly involving high-profile figures including President Trump. The speakers note that this board operates outside the jurisdiction of the U.S. Constitution, Congress, the UN, or NATO 08:58-09:14. Key characteristics of this board include a reported $1 billion entry fee for members and the chairman's power to appoint his own successor 09:14-09:37. The speakers suggest this board could be the framework for the "ten toes" or the peace initiative that the Antichrist will eventually assume leadership over 22:41-24:2126:06-26:22.

The Spirit of Nimrod and the Nature of Power
The desire for global unity is compared to the Tower of Babel, where Nimrod led humanity in rebellion against God's command to scatter and replenish the earth 05:27-05:5306:58. The speakers argue that God never intended for the world to be united under one human leader because "ultimate power corrupts ultimately" 14:55-15:52. Using J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings as a prophetic allegory, they explain that no man can handle the "Ring of Power" (absolute global authority) without becoming abusive, which is why the world must wait for the "Return of the King" (Christ) to establish a righteous kingdom 16:21-18:38.

The Globalism Shift

🌐

GlobalismCentralized control, digital money, security over liberty. 13:22-14:30

Technological and Religious Convergence
The speakers point to the transition toward digital money and a cashless society as evidence that the infrastructure for the end-times economy is already at the "doorstep" 13:22-13:40. Furthermore, they discuss the "religious side of Babylon," suggesting that the Roman Church or a similar institutional system will likely head the global religious movement under a "False Prophet" 03:51-04:59. They interpret the Pope's refusal to join the Board of Peace as a sign that the religious system will maintain a distinct, perhaps more dominant, role in the coming tribulation period 03:31-03:58.

Key Data

  • Board of Peace Entry Requirement: Each member must reportedly put up $1 billion 09:14.
  • Meeting Date: The first meeting of the Board of Peace was noted as occurring on February 19th 02:59-03:18.
  • Historical Context: The "Times of the Gentiles" began approximately in 605 BC with the destruction of Jerusalem by Babylon 12:46.
  • Public Trust: Trust in leadership within the Christian community is reportedly less than 30% 11:25.

To-Do / Next Steps

  • Review the Daniel Study Guide and Genesis materials to understand the "ten toes" and the Tower of Babel 24:52-25:25.
  • Investigate the development of the Abrahamic Accords and how they may merge with new peace initiatives 23:41.
  • Realize one's spiritual state and place faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the Cross to ensure salvation before the Rapture 27:07-28:23.

Conclusion

The current global trajectory—marked by the decline of constitutional governance, the rise of centralized peace boards, and the move toward digital currency—aligns with the biblical description of the final human empire. The speakers conclude that while these developments are inevitable, the ultimate hope lies in the "Kingdom Age" to be established by Christ after the destruction of the Babylonian system. 01:5727:42

Speaker 1

Welcome everybody. Brother Goodwin here, Crossing the Spotlight. Doc is sitting right here in the studio. We'll get him in here in just a second. We're gonna be discussing today, we're gonna be talking about, once again, the global, the coming global world that is really coming and it's here now. And, uh, let me read a verse for you in Daniel chapter two. We're gonna talk about the statue, the head of gold. Remember Daniel chapter two? The head of gold and the arms of silver and the, and the, you got the brass, and then the, the, and then the, the, of course it gets all the way down to the feet and the 10 toes. And, uh, we, we did a show already about this and the, the, the peace plan that, that Mr. Trump has, that President Trump has. Um, his, uh, his board of peace. Very interesting. We're gonna share some more about that. I wanna read verse 45 'cause this is what's coming.

00:53

Speaker 1
And, uh, "Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands..." That's, that's the Lord Jesus right there. Um, "And that it break in pieces the iron and the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter, and the dream is, is certain and the interpretation thereof is sure." In other words, it will happen, just as Daniel saw in this vision. Now, what he just mentioned here has not happened yet. Now, these kingdoms have come and gone and they've never really left, but they're, they're in the background. Babylon still exists. It's a system that, that's operating right now. And I'll tell you, operating from New York City and Washington DC in full f- full force right now. And, uh, and, and eventually, the, the, the statue's gonna stand on its feet wh- when the 10 toes are ready, and it's gonna be headed up by one man who's gonna be the anti-Christ.

01:57

Speaker 1
And then seven years later, when the tribulation is over, the stone cut out of the mountain without hands, that's Jesus, is going to crush that statue and crumble it to the ground, and he's gonna take over and he's gonna be king of kings and lord of lords. He's gonna head up the kingdom age. So we're gonna discuss this in today's program. So get ready and, uh, we'll be right back. (instrumental music plays) All right. Welcome everybody, uh, to the program. It's gonna be an exciting show today, uh, I promise you that. Um, things are happening so fast you can't keep up.

02:59

Speaker 2
(clears throat)

02:59

Speaker 1
There's news that's out just in recent days that we're gonna share with you today, uh, about the board of peace. In fact, today as we, as we speak, what... This is the 19th of February.

03:09

Speaker 2
Thursday. Mm-hmm.

03:10

Speaker 1
Um, this won't air for a few weeks for you folks. And, uh, but, uh, uh, today, the first meeting of the board of peace-

03:18

Speaker 2
Yeah.

03:18

Speaker 1
... is taking place.

03:19

Speaker 2
Yep.

03:19

Speaker 1
And, uh, I don't even know who all the players are yet.

03:23

Speaker 2
Mm-mm.

03:23

Speaker 1
But, uh-

03:23

Speaker 2
There's probably 20, 25, or maybe more-

03:27

Speaker 1
Yeah.

03:28

Speaker 2
... that are a part of it as of now.

03:30

Speaker 1
Yeah.

03:30

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

03:31

Speaker 1
And, and I'm sure there's, there's more coming. Now, there is one who I read last night in the, I read that the Pope has turned down his invitation-

03:41

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

03:42

Speaker 1
... to be on that board. That didn't surprise me for a second. In fact, I said, "That fits perfectly."

03:48

Speaker 2
Yeah.

03:48

Speaker 1
Because he has a different role, if I'm right about this.

03:51

Speaker 2
Mm.

03:51

Speaker 1
Uh, I believe, I believe the Roman Church is-

03:55

Speaker 2
I believe it.

03:55

Speaker 1
... gonna be the, the, the religious side of Babylon.

03:58

Speaker 2
I think we're, we're, we're watching, uh, all of the children of the mother church-

04:04

Speaker 1
Yeah.

04:06

Speaker 2
... meld their way back toward that and time the rapture takes place and genuinely born again people are removed, that system, which is basically modern day mysteries of Babylon to b- begin with.

04:21

Speaker 1
Yeah. And, uh, somebody's gotta head that up and I'm not saying it has to be him.

04:25

Speaker 2
No.

04:25

Speaker 1
Could be somebody else.

04:26

Speaker 2
Could be somebody though.

04:27

Speaker 1
He could die. Could, someone could replace-

04:28

Speaker 2
Oh, yeah.

04:29

Speaker 1
Or it could be somebody else that's in the system-

04:31

Speaker 2
Mm, that's right.

04:32

Speaker 1
... the Roman Church system-

04:33

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

04:33

Speaker 1
... that's not a pope.

04:34

Speaker 2
That's true.

04:35

Speaker 1
I have somebody in mind. I'm not ready to mention that yet.

04:38

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

04:38

Speaker 1
I may at a future date. I have some thoughts on that.

04:41

Speaker 2
Yeah, but every time we pick somebody out for the anti-Christ, he turns out he can't be. (laughs)

04:44

Speaker 1
And, and I'm not talking about the anti-Christ here. I'm talking about the false prophet.

04:46

Speaker 2
Yeah, I know. No, I'm just saying.

04:48

Speaker 1
And, uh, the anti-Christ i- is still, uh, up for grabs I think.

04:52

Speaker 2
(laughs)

04:52

Speaker 1
Of course, the false prophet, uh, I think, there's no doubt when you read Revelation 17, the institution that that's talking about.

04:59

Speaker 2
That's right. It, it's the institution.

05:00

Speaker 1
The one who has the blood of the martyrs on its hands. There's only one. Now there's been-

05:04

Speaker 2
And we know there's gonna be an anti-Christ individual, but the real picture is the kingdom itself, the anti-Christ kingdom.

05:13

Speaker 1
Yeah. And, uh, and he'll head it up and we're gonna share some interesting things today, but I gotta, I'm gonna make a statement here. God never meant for the world to be united under one leader.

05:26

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

05:27

Speaker 1
And, uh, and I think in our, in our, in our, one of our prior shows, we talked about, um, globalism, and we talked about, out of my Genesis book here, um, we talked about Nimrod-

05:39

Speaker 2
Yeah.

05:39

Speaker 1
... Chapter 10 of Genesis. And then chapter 11, I call it the first mention of man's attempt at globalism.

05:47

Speaker 2
It is.

05:47

Speaker 1
That's the Tower of Babel. She has a picture of that, I think, the, what, what people think that, that looked like, the Tower of Babel-

05:53

Speaker 2
Yeah.

05:53

Speaker 1
... what it could have looked like.

05:54

Speaker 2
Yeah.

05:54

Speaker 1
And it's very interesting and I know, uh, you have some CDs on this-

05:58

Speaker 2
Yeah. Mm-hmm.

05:58

Speaker 1
... she'll put up. In fact, that's it right there.

06:00

Speaker 2
Yeah.

06:00

Speaker 1
... uh, your CD set, and, uh, and I believe there's a picture somewhere, she may not have it for, for this show. We put up one last time of a building in Europe that-

06:10

Speaker 2
Yeah.

06:11

Speaker 1
... looks like that.

06:11

Speaker 2
Very similar.

06:12

Speaker 1
Very similar.

06:13

Speaker 2
European headquarters-

06:14

Speaker 1
Eerily (ph) similar.

06:14

Speaker 2
Yes.

06:15

Speaker 1
And, uh, and, and I'm not gonna take time to read it all, but Revel- uh, Genesis Chapter 11 Verses 1 through 4. "They said one to another, 'Let us..." Go to, "'Let us.'" So this is the people demanding that this be done.

06:30

Speaker 2
I think there's nine times, there are nine pronouns in this-

06:34

Speaker 1
Yeah.

06:34

Speaker 2
... verse.

06:34

Speaker 1
They, they found, yeah. They joined-

06:36

Speaker 2
Nine pronouns for the people.

06:38

Speaker 1
Let us-

06:39

Speaker 2
Before you get into, before you get Nimrod taking over.

06:42

Speaker 1
Yeah. Uh, "They said, 'Let us build us a city, and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven: let us make us a name, lest we be-"

06:51

Speaker 2
Yeah.

06:51

Speaker 1
"... scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.'" And, uh, um, you had something to say about that-

06:57

Speaker 2
Well-

06:57

Speaker 1
... before we come on the air.

06:58

Speaker 2
Yeah. Uh, well, he said, uh, they said, "Let us, lest we be scattered." Because God had said in chapter number nine, when Noah got off the ark, he told his, him and his boys, to replenish the earth. They were to scatter out. So the people said, "We're not gonna obey God. We're gonna do what we want." So they built their own kingdom.

07:27

Speaker 1
Yeah. Now Daniel 2, we only, we only, I only read a small portion of the passage.

07:32

Speaker 2
Yeah.

07:32

Speaker 1
Daniel 2, of course, is, and we have my Daniel study guide here in front of me, um, Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 are the same world kingdoms.

07:41

Speaker 2
One's man's view, the other's God's view.

07:44

Speaker 1
Yeah.

07:44

Speaker 2
Yeah.

07:44

Speaker 1
God looks at world kingdoms differently (laughs) than we do.

07:46

Speaker 2
(laughs) He said, "You're a bunch of wild beasts."

07:47

Speaker 1
Wild beasts that cannot be tamed.

07:49

Speaker 2
Yeah.

07:49

Speaker 1
That's, that's why you have to have laws and, and constitutions to-

07:53

Speaker 2
Yes.

07:53

Speaker 1
... to restrain, not the people, but the government.

07:56

Speaker 2
Restrain government, yes.

07:57

Speaker 1
Now communism's the other way around. They-

07:59

Speaker 2
But this is why we're seeing such a battle even in the United States today, is because government wants desperately to have that unfettered control.

08:11

Speaker 1
Yeah.

08:11

Speaker 2
And they, so they want us to get rid of our constitution.

08:13

Speaker 1
Yeah. And to be honest: and I've shared this with folks recently: uh, we haven't really been under the constitution for several-

08:20

Speaker 2
No.

08:20

Speaker 1
... decades. Uh, they use it when it profits them, or when it's convenient.

08:24

Speaker 2
(laughs) That's about right.

08:25

Speaker 1
But for the most part, the judges that have been appointed down there, l- all the federal judges, they're all-

08:31

Speaker 2
Yeah, the-

08:31

Speaker 1
... going against everything in the constitution. You gotta fight-

08:33

Speaker 2
That's right.

08:33

Speaker 1
... your way all the way to the Supreme Court.

08:34

Speaker 2
You have to, yeah.

08:35

Speaker 1
A guy can't get nothing done.

08:36

Speaker 2
And as long as we can at least still have a constitutionally minded court at the top, but you're right, you have to go through all that process.

08:45

Speaker 1
Yeah.

08:46

Speaker 2
And, uh, but, uh, what we see is, is today a world that is rapidly returning to the day before the confusion of the languages and labib.

08:58

Speaker 1
Now this Board of Peace has got nothing to do with our constitution.

09:02

Speaker 2
No. It's outside of it.

09:03

Speaker 1
This is an outside or- as far as I can tell anyway-

09:06

Speaker 2
And it's, and it's a-

09:06

Speaker 1
... this has nothing to do with government. It's not-

09:07

Speaker 2
... and it's a global board.

09:08

Speaker 1
Congress did not vote on this board.

09:11

Speaker 2
Uhh.

09:11

Speaker 1
This is outside of our government. This is very interesting.

09:14

Speaker 2
And my question is w- wh- whose billion did Mr. Trump put up, since every member had to put up a billion dollars? Did he put up a billion of our taxpayer money?

09:24

Speaker 1
Well that's-

09:25

Speaker 2
I don't think so.

09:26

Speaker 1
That's a good question.

09:26

Speaker 2
He would have had-

09:27

Speaker 1
I hadn't thought about that.

09:27

Speaker 2
He would have had to get Congress'. No. I'm sure he put up his own.

09:31

Speaker 1
He's the chairman of it.

09:33

Speaker 2
Yeah.

09:33

Speaker 1
And the rules are, he decides who takes his place.

09:37

Speaker 2
That's right.

09:38

Speaker 1
And now, when he leaves W- the White House, if he leaves the White House, that doesn't affect his position-

09:45

Speaker 2
Nope.

09:45

Speaker 1
... on this world government board-

09:47

Speaker 2
I, I can see-

09:47

Speaker 1
... this Peace Board.

09:48

Speaker 2
... that this is developing, um... We always thought that the Antichrist kingdom was gonna be headed out of the U- U- United Nations. And I'm not s- ruling that out. I, I, I could see where possibly these two could merge at some point in the future, because the United Nations still has, has a connection with all of the nations of the world. But they've lost their real, uh, effectiveness. And this is something that is taking center stage, because what does everybody want? Everybody wants two things. They want peace in the world, and money in their pocketbook. They want profit.

10:32

Speaker 1
Yeah.

10:32

Speaker 2
If they can get those two things, everybody thinks that's it.

10:34

Speaker 1
Yeah. In, in the days of the kings, they, the, the, the king was to protect them from enemies.

10:40

Speaker 2
Yeah.

10:40

Speaker 1
And make sure they had food to eat.

10:42

Speaker 2
Yeah.

10:43

Speaker 1
They, that they weren't starving.

10:44

Speaker 2
Right.

10:45

Speaker 1
And, uh, you know, dictatorships, you know.

10:47

Speaker 2
Yeah.

10:48

Speaker 1
And most of the world has been ruled by dictatorships forever.

10:51

Speaker 2
Off and on.

10:51

Speaker 1
America's a very strange little-

10:53

Speaker 2
Yeah. Yes.

10:53

Speaker 1
... test tube here. And-

10:55

Speaker 2
And it's worked, it's worked for great-

10:56

Speaker 1
... we've lasted a couple hundred years.

10:58

Speaker 2
... 250 years, but it's, uh, it's like everything. It seems like there's always a, a beginning and there's an end.

11:05

Speaker 1
Well-

11:05

Speaker 2
In the book of Ecclesiastes, he said, "There's a time to be born and a time to die."

11:09

Speaker 1
Yeah.

11:09

Speaker 2
And it seems like that may even apply to constitutional governments.

11:14

Speaker 1
Well, our founders made a interesting statement. They said, "Our constitution is, will only work for a Christian people."

11:20

Speaker 2
That's right.

11:21

Speaker 1
Which is why we're floundering now.

11:23

Speaker 2
Um-

11:23

Speaker 1
We're not a Christian people anymore-

11:24

Speaker 2
We, we just did a-

11:25

Speaker 1
... for the most part.

11:25

Speaker 2
... we just did a YouTube radio thing earlier on the condition of the leadership and Christianity and, and how they're viewed by not only the Church, but by the world, and, uh, and the trustworthiness even in the Christian community is only, is less than 30% of trust of their own leaders. Uh, so, uh, the whole world stage is primed for the same spirit that Nimrod was able to take charge of.

11:58

Speaker 1
Yeah. Now in Daniel, of course, the, the, uh, the pharaoh, uh, had had a, well, the King of Babylon had had a dream.

12:04

Speaker 2
Yeah.

12:05

Speaker 1
And, uh, he didn't, couldn't remember the dream.

12:07

Speaker 2
Yeah.

12:08

Speaker 1
He not only did not know what it meant, he didn't know... he couldn't remember the dream.

12:11

Speaker 2
I think all of that was God's... preparing a way for Daniel to become the important individual-

12:17

Speaker 1
Yeah.

12:17

Speaker 2
... throughout four kings and two kingdoms.

12:20

Speaker 1
Yeah, yeah. And of course, uh, they, all the wise men a-call, they, they said, "Well, well-"

12:24

Speaker 2
Yeah.

12:24

Speaker 1
"... King, tell us the dream and we'll tell you." "No, no, you gotta..."

12:27

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

12:27

Speaker 1
Daniel steps up and gives-

12:29

Speaker 2
If you can't, that means you've been, you've been pulling my leg on all these other things, then.

12:33

Speaker 1
Yeah.

12:33

Speaker 2
Yeah.

12:33

Speaker 1
And of course, it's, it's not only a dream, uh, for, for him, but it's a dream for prophecy.

12:39

Speaker 2
That's right.

12:40

Speaker 1
And it tells the whole history, all the way to Christ coming on the white horse-

12:44

Speaker 2
Yeah.

12:44

Speaker 1
... smashing the statue to powder.

12:46

Speaker 2
Starting with Nimrod, which was about 605 BC, whenever he destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple. That's when the Times of the Gentiles began.

12:55

Speaker 1
Yeah.

12:56

Speaker 2
I, I know there are a lot of people that think the Times of the Gentiles has to do with the Church Age. No, the Times of the Gentiles has to do with the gentile world's relationship with Israel.

13:06

Speaker 1
Israel, yep. And, uh, so we see that statue here, Babylon, Media, Per- uh, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome.

13:14

Speaker 2
Yeah.

13:14

Speaker 1
And, and then the revived empire that's, that's here now.

13:18

Speaker 2
It's here, and-

13:19

Speaker 1
And we're already connected. We got a story we were gonna read, uh-

13:21

Speaker 2
Yeah. (laughs)

13:22

Speaker 1
... somewhere about another story about changing your money into digital-

13:27

Speaker 2
Yeah.

13:27

Speaker 1
... digital money, and-

13:28

Speaker 2
I've been saying for a long time, it's coming and it, it didn't come when I thought it would come, but, but it is, it is at our doorstep.

13:35

Speaker 1
And we're already digital.

13:37

Speaker 2
Yeah, we really are.

13:37

Speaker 1
And we're already operating as if there is no cash.

13:40

Speaker 2
Yeah.

13:40

Speaker 1
Although we can still use cash.

13:41

Speaker 2
Some of... Some of the older folks my age and up are still writing checks to check-

13:47

Speaker 1
You mean old geezers?

13:48

Speaker 2
Hey, watch it.

13:49

Speaker 1
(laughs)

13:49

Speaker 2
Uh, uh, are still writing checks at the checkout stand and you can read the eyeballs of everybody around. And, uh, but the greater majority of America uses that card. They use that, uh, it's got that chip on the card. And so we're, we're, we're already there.

14:11

Speaker 1
Yeah. So this first attempt, we learn some things here. We learn that people want this.

14:18

Speaker 2
Yeah, they want it.

14:19

Speaker 1
They want it because of what it brings them. Security.

14:22

Speaker 2
Security and, and finances.

14:25

Speaker 1
And they expect that entity that they, uh, that they have built up to take care of them-

14:30

Speaker 2
That's right.

14:31

Speaker 1
... to provide for them, to give security for them.

14:35

Speaker 2
That's why in America right now, uh, the one party is in shambles, because, uh, they have not done that for their constituents or for America. And the other party, uh, is, uh, uh, has grown in influence because they are providing what people want.

14:53

Speaker 1
Yeah.

14:53

Speaker 2
Stability-

14:54

Speaker 1
Yeah.

14:54

Speaker 2
... security.

14:55

Speaker 1
So that's why I, I, I gave you the statement here a while ago, folks. God never meant for the world to be united under one leader.

15:05

Speaker 2
No.

15:05

Speaker 1
It's not His will, because God wants us to depend on Him.

15:08

Speaker 2
That's right.

15:09

Speaker 1
He wants us to live by faith, trust in Him, and He doesn't want us to have a, a kingdom where one man rules us all.

15:16

Speaker 2
That's right.

15:16

Speaker 1
That kingdom's coming.

15:17

Speaker 2
That's why-

15:18

Speaker 1
But that's not man's k- that's Christ coming to set up that kingdom.

15:22

Speaker 2
Well, you know, Israel was, uh, under theistic r- rule. I mean, God ruled through the, through the judges and through the prophets, but they wanted a king so they'd be like the rest of the world.

15:34

Speaker 1
Yeah.

15:34

Speaker 2
And look what it done for them.

15:36

Speaker 1
Look what, look what, look what this kingdom, one world kingdom, look what it does.

15:40

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

15:41

Speaker 1
It raises up a man. It gives him a power. And what's the old saying? Power corrupts.

15:48

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

15:48

Speaker 1
Ultimate power corrupts ultimately, or something like that.

15:52

Speaker 2
Something like that.

15:53

Speaker 1
Um, a, a man cannot handle that. Almost nobody can handle... There, there are a few men that I can think of in history that, that handled it pretty well, but-

16:01

Speaker 2
Well, humility is not a normal trait for the human spirit.

16:06

Speaker 1
Yeah.

16:07

Speaker 2
No.

16:08

Speaker 1
And it goes to your head and you, you-

16:09

Speaker 2
No.

16:10

Speaker 1
... you've got this power that, that... More power than anybody else in the world and it can really be used for wrong.

16:16

Speaker 2
Yeah. Can be used for good, but more or less, it's used for wrong.

16:21

Speaker 1
So I have an illustration here that I've said many times to people, the most prophetic book and movie I've ever seen, prophecy-wise, is The Lord of the Rings, written by a man, J. R-

16:37

Speaker 2
One of these days, I guess I'll have to watch it, 'cause I never have, so.

16:40

Speaker 1
J. R. R. Tolkien, back in the early 1900s.

16:43

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

16:44

Speaker 1
Him and, uh, C.S. Lewis were contemporaries. In fact, I, I read recently, I think I got this right. I believe Tolkien won C.S. Lewis to the Lord. They're both Christian men.

16:54

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

16:54

Speaker 1
They may not be Independent Baptists like we are-

16:56

Speaker 2
Yeah.

16:56

Speaker 1
... but they were, they, uh, you know, the, The Witch and the Wardrobe and all that, what's the name of that, C.S. Lewis' books?

17:05

Speaker 2
Yeah, I know-

17:05

Speaker 1
Uh, famous books.

17:06

Speaker 2
Yeah, I know what you're talking about.

17:07

Speaker 1
Uh, great illustrations of Christianity.

17:10

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

17:10

Speaker 1
I mean, just, just very interesting. And, uh, you know, I've seen the one where the lion's killed and he, and, and later on, the, the table breaks in two and, and he's gone, he's resurrected, uh-

17:21

Speaker 2
Hmm.

17:21

Speaker 1
... just types of, of the, of Christ. And, uh, um, same way with Tol- Tolkien, there was, there's a statement in the movie, "One ring to rule them all. One ring to rule them all."

17:34

Speaker 2
Yeah.

17:35

Speaker 1
If you understand The Lord of the Rings book and the series they did, and, and the movies that come out later, uh, it's about that ring and, and trying... Uh, the Ring of Power.

17:44

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

17:44

Speaker 1
And they're trying to destroy that ring, because they know... One of the lines in, in the, in the book is this, that no man can wield that power.

17:53

Speaker 2
Oh. Mm-hmm.

17:53

Speaker 1
They tried to give it to one of the leaders and he refused. He backed, "No, do not offer me this." And they said, "Well, look, you're good. You'll use it for..." "No, you cannot offer me this. No man can handle that."

18:05

Speaker 2
Yeah.

18:06

Speaker 1
And that got me thinking about this.

18:07

Speaker 2
And that's the truth.

18:08

Speaker 1
No man can wield power like that and it...

18:11

Speaker 2
Mm-mm.

18:11

Speaker 1
... and it not go to his head and, and, and he, uh, and becomes abusive after a while.

18:16

Speaker 2
Yeah.

18:17

Speaker 1
And that's the thing with this, with this ring in the story, and I believe the story is prophetic. I believe that what, what Tolkien wrote was talking about the, the end time.

18:27

Speaker 2
Hmm.

18:28

Speaker 1
The final, the final book is called Bringing Back the King, and it's where at the end of the movie, he's up on this big thing and they crown him. It's literally the second coming of Christ.

18:38

Speaker 2
Uh.

18:39

Speaker 1
It's the b- and right after the back-

18:40

Speaker 2
Yeah.

18:40

Speaker 1
In fact, the Battle of Armageddon is in there. It's not called that, but that's what it is, the final battle they fight to get that ring destroyed. While they've distracted the, uh, the enemy, which represents Satan, the guys sneaking in the back door and they, they, they throw the ring into the fire finally. They, the melt, the ring melts and all the empire falls, all the demonic empire.

19:04

Speaker 2
(laughs)

19:04

Speaker 1
Just a tremendous, if, if, if you, if you read the book or watch the movie with this in mind, it'll change your understanding of what, what Tolkien was talking about. And I think a lot of people, it's just entertainment for them.

19:17

Speaker 2
Yeah.

19:17

Speaker 1
But for me, there's powerful figures and types in, in, in the story that are, that are real, and, uh, so many statements.

19:27

Speaker 2
With the statement you made, there's no, "Nobody can handle that much power," that takes you back here to chapter 11, and, and Babel and Nimrod. It's the people that wanted it.

19:41

Speaker 1
Yeah.

19:42

Speaker 2
But they've had to have a leader, so that leader comes on the scene. And it's very obvious, if you've studied any of the ancient history that has been dug up in that area over there, Nimrod couldn't handle it either.

19:55

Speaker 1
Nope.

19:56

Speaker 2
And, uh, Nimrod built a great kingdom. That's why God had to come on the scene and, and bring the language of separation.

20:06

Speaker 1
Yeah. And every generation is that way. We, we wanna be proud of our president. We want a president that's, that, that we-

20:12

Speaker 2
Yeah.

20:12

Speaker 1
... that we can-

20:13

Speaker 2
Yeah.

20:13

Speaker 1
... brag on, and we want a p- Same way, we gotta be careful in the ministry. We want a preacher-

20:18

Speaker 2
That's right.

20:19

Speaker 1
... that we can tell everybody, "Boy, our preacher's-"

20:21

Speaker 2
Yeah.

20:22

Speaker 1
"... he, man, what a man of God he is."

20:23

Speaker 2
And, and, and really, no matter the size of a church, everybody, a member of that church oughta have a relationship with their pastor so that they feel like their pastor is that important.

20:34

Speaker 1
Yeah.

20:36

Speaker 2
Rather than somebody else's pastor because they have 1,000 in their congregation and we only have 45. You oughta have the same respect in, uh, uh, toward your pastor as you would have towards somebody else's pastor.

20:50

Speaker 1
You know, there's another lesson here that I think, I think we've, we're missing. When we read the passage in chapter 11 of Genesis.

20:57

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

20:58

Speaker 1
And I under, I highlighted some of it. "Let us make, let brick," uh-

21:02

Speaker 2
Yeah.

21:02

Speaker 1
... um, uh, "They said to one another, 'Let us make brick and burn them thoroughly,' and they ate brick for stone. They said, 'Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, let, lest we be scattered abroad.'"

21:13

Speaker 2
Yeah.

21:13

Speaker 1
I think what we're missing here is these leaders are sometimes pushed up-

21:19

Speaker 2
Oh, yes, they're pushed up.

21:20

Speaker 1
... from their followers.

21:21

Speaker 2
Yes.

21:21

Speaker 1
And, and sometimes they may not have planned this. They didn't plan to be this, this person that's looked upon with stature.

21:28

Speaker 2
Human nature always is looking for somebody to look up to.

21:34

Speaker 1
Yeah.

21:35

Speaker 2
It's only that. It doesn't matter where it's a, uh, uh, the same thing in a church, same thing in a fellowship of churches, the same thing in, uh, whatever organization. There's always somebody willing to allow everybody else to push them to the top.

21:51

Speaker 1
The danger of that is sometimes you get, sometimes we push up a King Saul.

21:55

Speaker 2
Yeah.

21:56

Speaker 1
And he couldn't handle it.

21:57

Speaker 2
And, and a lot of times, though, the guy that gets pushed up initially is a good guy with good intentions, but in time, that affects him, and, and humility is overridden by pride, and that usually ruins the movement.

22:14

Speaker 1
Yeah. Saul, Saul turned bad, and God, God replaced him.

22:18

Speaker 2
Yes, yeah.

22:19

Speaker 1
David, David had problems too.

22:21

Speaker 2
Yeah.

22:21

Speaker 1
Uh, and remember, he numbered the people, and-

22:23

Speaker 2
Yeah.

22:23

Speaker 1
... boy, they paid a price for that. You know, pride.

22:25

Speaker 2
And he paid a price. Yeah, you're right.

22:27

Speaker 1
Solomon, uh, got a little, got a little relaxed and-

22:31

Speaker 2
And then he married all, after God gave him-

22:34

Speaker 1
He had all these women problems.

22:34

Speaker 2
... all that wisdom. You'd think he'd had enough wisdom to know that living with one wife would be enough.

22:39

Speaker 1
(laughs)

22:39

Speaker 2
But he had all these others.

22:41

Speaker 1
Yeah.

22:41

Speaker 2
So, but anyway, uh, we're watching the world. I, I believe, Dan, we are watching the world right now. And the board of peace that you've been talking about, uh, it's outside of, it's outside of the governments of the world.

22:57

Speaker 1
Yeah. It's out outside of everything. The United Nations got nothing to do with it. The, uh, NATO's got nothing to do with it.

23:02

Speaker 2
A- and, and what I've read of it, their goal is to be able to do what, uh, what, uh, Daniel chapter 11 talks about, uh, a strange god, a foreign god that's without side your border. Uh, it, th- their, their goal is to be able to stop wars.

23:20

Speaker 1
Well, let's all go ahead and say this less someone misunderstand. I think Trump means well.

23:24

Speaker 2
Oh, I'm convinced they do.

23:26

Speaker 1
And I think-

23:26

Speaker 2
Yes.

23:26

Speaker 1
... I think some of this could be good, but I know where this is headed because I'm reading-

23:31

Speaker 2
It always heads the same direction.

23:33

Speaker 1
Yeah. And, and the qu- and the question you gotta ask is when Trump is no longer here, who's going to fill that seat?

23:41

Speaker 2
That's right. And will this, will this continue? And I'm convinced it's going to continue, but is it going to bring together the Abrahamic Accords? Is it gonna merge in with, uh, the United Nations? Is this gonna, uh, eliminate it? I don't think so, but you can see all of this is progressing, and we're living in the, in the early days where if, if the Genesis, uh, uh, Revelation chapter six, the first seal, Judgment, is a rider on a white horse. He comes in to take control.... of a peace initiative.

24:21

Speaker 1
Yep.

24:22

Speaker 2
And so it's pretty obvious that what we're seeing, I believe, is, is the early days-

24:26

Speaker 1
And I-

24:27

Speaker 2
... of that.

24:27

Speaker 1
And I'm not sure take is the right word. I think he comes and receives.

24:30

Speaker 2
He receives it, yes.

24:31

Speaker 1
He's crowned.

24:32

Speaker 2
Yes, he's going to assume that responsibility-

24:35

Speaker 1
Yeah.

24:35

Speaker 2
... just like Nimrod did not say, "Hey, everybody, get together out here. Let's do this." No, the people said, "This is what let's do. Hey, Nimrod, how about you help me let's do this?"

24:45

Speaker 1
Yeah.

24:46

Speaker 2
(coughs)

24:47

Speaker 1
Yeah. You be, you be the leader.

24:49

Speaker 2
Yeah.

24:50

Speaker 1
And, uh, and folks-

24:52

Speaker 2
We hope.

24:52

Speaker 1
... uh, Doc has a CD on the Book of Dan- uh, the Book of, uh-

24:55

Speaker 2
Daniel.

24:56

Speaker 1
Yeah, Daniel-

24:56

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

24:56

Speaker 1
... about the Tower of Babel and all that. He has a CD set. He also has, uh, the-

25:00

Speaker 2
It's, it's DV-

25:01

Speaker 1
... book here.

25:02

Speaker 2
It's, it's DVDs.

25:03

Speaker 1
Okay, um, all right this is DVDs here.

25:06

Speaker 2
Mm-hmm.

25:06

Speaker 1
But the other one was CDs.

25:07

Speaker 2
Yes.

25:08

Speaker 1
I have my Daniels study guide. She's got, uh, some of those. She may have already put those up for you to see. And, of course, my Genesis book. This is all good material that will help you understand what we're talking about with this, uh, with this (laughs) , with the ten toes. And the fact that-

25:25

Speaker 2
Because the ten toes are what you see in Revelation 17 and 18.

25:29

Speaker 1
Yep.

25:29

Speaker 2
That's what you're looking at, the end time Babylon.

25:32

Speaker 1
Yeah. And if you understand the statue and the... Put that back up, mister. Doing the statue there, the one you just had. If you understand the statue, there it is.

25:40

Speaker 2
Yeah.

25:41

Speaker 1
Uh, if you understand, that statue can't stand up till it's got feet.

25:44

Speaker 2
That's right.

25:45

Speaker 1
And the feet gotta have toes to balance it-

25:48

Speaker 2
Yep.

25:48

Speaker 1
... and, and help it get around.

25:49

Speaker 2
And when you read, uh, the text you started with, the rock cut without hand, it's destroying all of that.

25:58

Speaker 1
Yep.

25:58

Speaker 2
So-

25:59

Speaker 1
Babylon, Greece, Rome-

25:59

Speaker 2
So all of that today-

26:01

Speaker 1
All of it.

26:01

Speaker 2
... remnants of all of that make up those ten toes in the end days.

26:06

Speaker 1
Right. And, uh, and it's, and, and we think it's very possible that this board of peace is going to become, one day, those two-

26:17

Speaker 2
It could well be.

26:18

Speaker 1
... those ten toes. And, uh, and I think that thing's-

26:22

Speaker 2
Yeah.

26:22

Speaker 1
... that's kinda gotta be there when we're taken outta here. It's, that's all gotta be laid out pretty good.

26:27

Speaker 2
Well, because, uh, I'm convinced that when we're taken outta here, uh, and the saints are removed at the Rapture, uh, the Antichrist is coming right onto the scene.

26:35

Speaker 1
Yeah.

26:36

Speaker 2
Genes- uh, Revelation Chapter Six. So it has to be already here in order for him to assume-

26:41

Speaker 1
Yeah.

26:41

Speaker 2
... leadership of it.

26:43

Speaker 1
Yeah. So it could be very soon. It could be a few years. We, you, you know, I personally am looking for this fall, possibly would think.

26:50

Speaker 2
As rapidly as things can precess and-

26:53

Speaker 1
Yeah.

26:53

Speaker 2
... progress in our world today, yes.

26:55

Speaker 1
Yeah. Oh, it's unbelievable what's happened. I mean, uh, 50 years ago if preachers coulda saw this, they'd-

27:02

Speaker 2
Oh.

27:02

Speaker 1
... they'd be jumping up and down in their pulpits.

27:03

Speaker 2
We'd have been scared to death. (laughs)

27:05

Speaker 1
Yeah. But, uh-

27:06

Speaker 2
Yeah.

27:07

Speaker 1
All right, uh, Doc, in about 30 seconds, what must they do to meet Jesus?

27:11

Speaker 2
Well, you need to realize you're lost, you're born that way. Not a thing you can do about it, other than realize what God's already done for you. He's already sent His son and Jesus had gone to Calvary's Cross. He's paid the penalty. And if you'll put your faith and trust in what Jesus did, you can be born again, change your destiny from hell to heaven.

27:32

Speaker 1
Man, praise the Lord. It don't get any simpler than that. Salvation is simple.

27:37

Speaker 2
Yes, it is.

27:38

Speaker 1
And, uh, it's, uh, it's a simple matter of placing your trust-

27:41

Speaker 2
That's it.

27:42

Speaker 1
... in what Jesus did for you on that cross. It's that simple. All right, well, thanks for listening in. We'll be back again next time. And remember, keep your eyes on them skies. (instrumental music plays)
