Awakening Matters with Cynthia Slon
The Music Within: Healing, Inner Freedom, and the Language of Connection
Awakening Through Connection
Cynthia Sloan opens by describing awakening as something that encompasses humanity, spirituality, healing, love, animals, contemplation, and the direction of individual and collective life. She stresses that the program reflects her own truth rather than something listeners are required to adopt. A central theme is that much of reality, in her view, includes vibrational frequencies and electromagnetic fields that may not be visible but can still be experienced. She uses the body as an analogy, noting that people trust blood, bones, and muscles without constantly seeing them. She also describes witnessing a child and a bird silently connecting as an example of communication that can occur beyond spoken language.
Communication With Nature and the Inner Self
The episode develops the idea that communication is fundamental to awakening. Sloan describes different species peacefully sharing water during extreme heat and uses the scene to illustrate interspecies connection and cooperation. She argues that learning to communicate with oneself creates a stronger foundation for communicating with other people, animals, and the natural world. She also discusses her experiences with spirit beings appearing in physical or nonphysical forms and says communication can occur regardless of form. Throughout the episode, she repeatedly returns to the idea that people should begin within themselves rather than bypass their own inner awareness.
Music, Memory, and Healing
Music becomes the central metaphor and practice of the episode. Sloan describes the body as containing an inner or cellular library that, in her belief, stores memories and experiences and can be accessed through music. She says songs can suddenly bring forward forgotten emotional memories and can inspire empowerment, contemplation, joy, grief, or healing. She further shares her belief that high-vibrational music can affect the cellular body and recounts a personal experience in which she focused music and positive emotion on physical aches and felt the pain disappear. She presents intention, openness, and the willingness to make space for healing as important parts of that experience.
Inner Dialogue and Personal Freedom
Sloan encourages listeners to examine their thoughts over several days and ask whether those thoughts are renewing, guiding, belittling, limiting, healthy, or toxic. She suggests that people often carry the opinions of parents, teachers, partners, employers, and others within their self-concept without recognizing how little of their own authentic voice may be present. In her framework, recognizing that distinction creates a new internal map with the individual at the center. She connects self-love and inner inquiry with freedom from the need to obtain constant approval or security from other people. She repeatedly advises listeners not to bypass themselves while trying to help, heal, or save others.
Remaining Centered Around Negativity
Another major theme is how to remain internally anchored when faced with criticism, attack, false narratives, or negative behavior from other people. Sloan argues that someone who is secure in inner clarity can observe another person’s fear, insecurity, or repeated patterns without becoming consumed by anger or reaction. She encourages listeners to continue doing their inner work even when they feel unseen, unheard, attacked, or spiritually disconnected. Rather than defining themselves through other people’s judgments, she advises them to strengthen their own self-respect and self-love. Her recurring message is not to lose oneself by giving away internal authority to another person’s opinion.
Becoming the Music You Carry
Near the end, Sloan expands the music metaphor by suggesting that human beings themselves can be understood as living instruments within a larger orchestra. She recounts a remote session in which both she and a client experienced what they described as the same woodsy-and-floral scent connected to a deceased loved one. She invites listeners to use whatever personally resonates with them—music, nature, creative work, or another meaningful language—to connect more deeply with themselves. She encourages people to choose light, love, balance, clarity, and authenticity, and to embody the experience they hope to receive from the world. The episode closes with an invitation to reconnect with nature, raise one’s internal state through music, replace self-judgment with a loving thought, and remember that the tools for greater connection are already within.

Speaker 1 – Host: Welcome. This is your host, Cynthia Sloan, with Awakening Matters.
Awakening Matters covers everything from our humanity, our spirituality, our concepts, our contemplation, where we are, where we’re going, healing, restoration, love, soulmates, animals—anything and everything is included in Awakening Matters, because awakening does matter.
It matters to me, and nothing that I ever say on this show is meant to convince anybody to make it their own. This is my truth. I’m sharing what has awakened me. I’m sharing what awakens in the world, as well as how to access that awakening within yourself.
And so, welcome, welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
I do have a website. It’s cynthiasloan9.com. It’s a website you can use to access some YouTube content, new videos, and all kinds of things. So you can check it out if you feel called to do so.
There’s a lot going on, not only for ourselves individually and collectively, but in the world. And I will always add: there’s a lot going on for the animal kingdom, for Mother Earth, for vibrational frequencies, and for electromagnetic fields.
What am I talking about? Electromagnetic fields and vibrational frequencies are a part of everything that is. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean you can’t be it. It also doesn’t mean that it isn’t a part of you.
Hopefully, you don’t see your blood, but you trust it’s there. You don’t see your bones, but you use them every day. You don’t necessarily take out your muscles—again, hopefully you don’t—so you can look at them and say, “Yeah, there they are. I can trust them.”
You trust them, and through the compilation of your everyday life, you start trusting them more because they keep showing up for you. You’re like, “Wow, the blood is here again. The bones are here again. The muscles are here again. I feel the support.”
And so, through those momentous yet seemingly small, unconscious or conscious moments—from being a child learning to walk, to trying your first food, to a child being in awe, which I saw the other day, of a bird—we experience connection.
I watched the bird stop and recognize that the child was looking at it, and the two of them connected. You’re talking about two different species staring at each other from the heart center and having a full-on dialogue without ever saying an external word. It was something that made my heart full.
Things like that I see every day and all the time. I feel like that’s happening whether humanity focuses on it or not.
Interspecies communication is happening all around us. I can look outside in my backyard and see a yellow jacket, a hummingbird, a regular bird, a finch, and a hawk all near each other around the water. They’re literally not fighting.
Temperatures were around 108 degrees. Survival was happening, and all these different species were simply allowing one another to have water.
Communication. Communication is like water. Communication is like water.
Communication can certainly go to the other extreme, where you’re dying of thirst. But communication is definitely key to awakening.
I will always say that communicating with yourself will give you insight—greater insight—into how to communicate with your world, with humanity, with the animal kingdom, and with everything around you.
But if you skip yourself and try to access something else, and you’re having struggles with it, it’s because you haven’t really accessed the key within you to feel secure, to trust, and to know that this is your birthright. It is your awakening.
The other day, I was really contemplating all of this, and Spirit came to me. Spirit always does—spirit guides, spirit beings. I’ve had spirit beings in many different forms approach me, whether it was a white lion, a hummingbird, a wolf, or what have you.
So it can be a spirit being in an etheric form, with no physical form, or it can be a being that shows up in an actual physical form. But regardless, communication happens.
This being showed up and started speaking to me about music—music being a key to healing, not just an individual, but a family.
What do I mean by that? I certainly ask questions all the time. I ask questions specifically of individuals and beings who are open to the excitement and interaction of communication, because getting to know more, in my mind, is always a wonderful discovery.
So I asked, “What do you mean by music healing not only a person, but a species and the world?”
What I was told—and it makes sense to me—is that the composition of music, whether it’s a band, whether it’s an orchestra, whether it’s even one singer singing by herself, creates a vibration that transcends what I’ll call human limitation. It takes you to a different place.
Let me give you an example.
Our cellular body: we walk around with an inner library inside of us. It is a library bigger than any library you have ever been to or ever accessed.
It’s a library that not only houses this life experience for you, but, in my belief, houses all the lives you’ve had as well. So it is infinite and endless.
And with that said, that inner library is present and available whether you access it or not. Its purpose and reasons for being there are many, but I will address one: healing yourself—your body, your mind, your spirit.
Always start with yourself. If you want to heal a person, place, or thing, you want to start with yourself. You don’t want to approach something—okay, I’m getting off track here. I’ll go back to that.
Healing with music means that our cellular memory remembers huge moments in our lives, right? Moments in our lives where music marks something within us, sometimes in a way unknown to us—a really heartfelt memory.
You might say, “Oh my gosh, I haven’t thought about that in so long.” But when that music starts playing, that memory completely surfaces because that music accessed that book—the book of you, that file of you in your soul library—and it came forth.
That can include good moments, bad moments, intense moments, loving moments, and so on.
If there is any music happening, whether it’s in your mind or on the radio—and now I’m dating myself by saying “on the radio”—but in any form that the music is coming through, the evidence, if you will, is that you are so much more than what you see because your reaction to that music can be profound.
That music can take you deep within and give you empowerment. It can make you feel like, “I can do this. I’m going to go for it.” Or it can take you deep within into a place of contemplation, maybe even a sense of loss, or into a place of healing in that depth.
But again, the focus is within you.
And of course, there are very exciting events where music has played a role. Was it a birthday when you were a child? Was it another important event? You get the gist.
Music transforms more than memory. It can pull out a file within you and help you heal something, remember something, or do whatever your free will chooses to do with that moment.
But here’s the thing I was told that completely made sense to me, because I also put it to the test. I can absolutely say with complete clarity that this has been true for me. And if it is true for one of us, then it can be true for others if they choose it.
What I was told is that higher-vibrational music can heal the cellular body. I’m talking about everything from cancer to heartburn to acne to a bone issue—whatever it is.
How do I mean? I mean high-vibrational-frequency music can be an orchestra. It can be anything that vibrates at what I would call a very high frequency. And I’m going to change the word “frequency” to a very high note.
Anything that makes you feel joy, makes you feel happy, lightens your load, or invites you to go to a higher place within you—a place of joy, trust, hope, whatever it is—that music, that body of work, isn’t just taking your mind somewhere.
In my experience, it is helping your body recalibrate itself, reconnect itself, and release aspects of your cells that are not producing, not vital, or even diseased.
When I say I tried it, I not only asked a client if I could talk about her example and received permission, but I also used my own experience.
Aches and pains—we all have them, right? And if you don’t, I’m so happy for you.
I had aches and pains for many different reasons, and I put on some very high-vibrational music that I love. It had a beat, and it brought me joy.
Then I focused on the area—or areas, because it can be more than one—within my body where I wanted that joy, that lightness of being, and that music to go.
Long story short, it absolutely worked for me. Within about half an hour, I was like, “What pain? What ankle pain? What knee pain? What joint pain?” Gone.
Yes, there’s an intention involved. Nothing is going to happen for you unless it’s happening with you.
If you’re waiting for healing to knock you down and say, “You’re going to heal,” while you’re saying, “Well, I don’t believe that until I see it,” then you’re delaying the process because, to me, it’s the other way around.
In order for you to heal, you have to make space for that healing to happen. If you’re saying, “No, I’m not going to subscribe to healing until I see that it has happened,” then you are blocking the very space your body needs for the healing to happen.
So I always say: remain open, especially if it’s for the goodness of healing or feeling good.
What I find fascinating is that the notes in the music and the different instruments in that body of work communicate. You hear it as music. When I looked at it to see what was happening, I perceived that it was communicating with the cells that were not at their best.
There was an actual dialogue going on.
And that’s what I’m saying: everything is talking to everything. Everything. All the time.
Just because we are human beings, we tend to put everything from the insect world, the animal world, and the mountains to Mother Nature and the ocean into the category of, “Oh, that’s really pretty.”
But I would have to guess that, more often than not, most individuals believe the ocean doesn’t talk, doesn’t communicate, and the mountains don’t communicate. They’re beautiful and just there for us to look at.
No, they aren’t just there for that. They are beautiful, and if you’re lucky enough to look at them, good for you. But they are there, and they communicate.
Water has a language. Sand has a language. Rock has a language. Everything has a language.
If you are ready and willing to hear that language, start first by getting to know your own language.
If you don’t feel heard, it may be because you’ve disconnected from your own music. I’m not talking about whether you feel heard by another person.
If you are disconnected from your own inner music—your orchestra, your voice, your choice, your self-love—then there is the potential to struggle in accessing your music and your voice.
So basically, it’s about contemplating your thoughts. And I’m not saying, “Please sing your thoughts.” No, no, no.
I’m saying: contemplate them.
Are my thoughts adding to my life? Do I feel like I am renewing myself with my thoughts, or are my thoughts limiting me? Are my thoughts guiding me or belittling me? Are my thoughts healthy, or are my thoughts toxifying me?
Take one hour out of a day, and hopefully one hour out of the next day. I would say do this three days in a row, at different times—morning, afternoon, and evening—to really tune in and be honest with yourself, because this is about your quality of life, no one else’s.
Really tune in and look at what you were thinking. You might say, “Oh wow, okay. Across the span of three days, I have really been working against myself instead of with myself.”
Then, when you start being mindful of what you’re thinking and choosing differently, all of a sudden your own inner music, your own inner voice, becomes part of the orchestra. And all of a sudden, you can start hearing everything talking—not that you want to or have to, but I mean everything.
The other day, I had a flying being in my house. I’m going to say “flying being,” meaning a real flying being in physical form, and I have to differentiate because I experience the other kind, too.
I said, “Hey, I don’t want to kill you. My hand is on the sliding door down at the bottom. If you come flying over here…” There was no prior argument with my mind like, “Oh, that’s ridiculous. That’s not going to work. What are you talking about?”
Believe me, I know many people would think that.
But there was none of that. It was just, “Hey, if you want to get out and not get harmed or hurt, I’m here right now. My hand is on the lower part of the door. Just fly over to the top of the handle, and I will open the door and you can get out.”
My hand to God, it flew right to the door. I opened it. It flew out.
I was like, okay. I was in gratitude, but I’ve also come to a point where having this kind of experience has become my new normal.
I think that at one point in time on this Earth plane, communicating with everything, and having everything communicate back to you, was normal.
Is that something to strive for? No. That’s up to you and your free will, if you want that experience.
What I would say is worth striving for is healing yourself, accessing your cellular library, and accessing what I’m basically talking about as your inner freedom: the freedom to choose with clarity and to change the trajectory of the path you want to be on.
You can do that at any time.
Basically, going within to access healing and clarity requires you to be willing to do that. Again, this is my perspective. It doesn’t have to be yours.
I invite you to contemplate it. If it resonates, use it. If it doesn’t, throw it out.
To access these places within you of joy and the feeling of abundance, I invite you to ask: What emotions would I feel if I were already dwelling in healing? If I were already dwelling in clarity? If I were already dwelling in peace?
What am I feeling? Am I relaxed? Am I joyful? Am I peaceful? Am I chilled out?
Then I invite you to use music to help get you into those feeling-body states.
Basically, what I am saying is: you are your own inner music, and everything around you is the orchestra.
Whether it’s nature, whether it’s the wind, whether it’s actual music that you’re using to call upon the healed aspects of yourself, everything has been co-created around you, for you, and with you in the sense that it was already here, folks.
All of it was already here—not to be used, not to be collected, not to be killed, not to be owned. It was already here as an experience.
All of it, from Mother Nature across the board to everything, was an experience—to not only be born, but to celebrate being here on this plane of demonstration, and to have the balance of knowing that there is enough for everyone and everything. Everyone and everything.
It was definitely meant to be a celebration and not a division.
So start with yourself. Go within and ask: Am I in complete wholeness with myself? Am I in balance with myself? Am I anchored in connectivity to myself?
My beliefs, how I feel, and what I want—are those all aligned? Or does one go one way, another go in the complete opposite direction, and another go somewhere else?
Again, going within gives you access to the tools, if you are honest, if you are truthful, and if you want to do the work of creating your freedom and empowering yourself. That’s a small piece of the work to be done.
The other thing is that so many of us in our humanity—and I can absolutely speak to this—regress at times. Do I regress? Yes, I have, as we all do. But do I dwell there? No.
What I will say is that, as human beings, we are here to experience many things.
One of the biggest triggers in humanity is survival. Survival is a big trigger.
That trigger means there’s a tendency to say and feel, “I don’t have time for that feeling stuff. I don’t have time to go within. I don’t have time to drink tea and ring bells. I don’t have time to do that. This is survival time, and I want to save or help those people. I want to save or heal those people.”
And I will say to you with total clarity and truth: I totally get it. Yeah, go do it.
But at the same time, you will never—and believe me, I tried and failed too many times to admit—you will never be able to get any one, two, or ten people to love you enough, like you enough, or be enough to give you complete security during a time of survival if you bypass yourself and look to another person for that security.
Now, if you join with another person, that’s different.
But if you bypass yourself and look to another person to fulfill something you are scared about, hoping they will fulfill it for you and offer it to you, yes, that can be beautiful. But if you don’t access that within yourself as well, you can get farther and farther away from yourself while your focus remains on others.
Certainly help others, but include yourself in the work you are doing. Include yourself as part of the work you are doing.
Know that you are a walking, living manifestation. You can be a divine, walking, living presentation of the highest upon high and never be acknowledged by anyone. In fact, you can even be attacked because of it.
The key here is that if you don’t have a strong anchor within yourself and clarity, then you won’t be able to see, as an example, “Oh, okay, that person cannot look at truth and is attacking me, and needs an entire group to do it.”
As an individual, that person did not feel secure enough in what they were presenting. They had to create a huge amount of outside input to support what they were trying to accomplish.
When you can see through what you perceive as falsehood, when you can see through fear, smallness, insecurity, or an inner child driving someone’s will—an inner child at the wheel—then, if you are doing your own inner work, you are free.
Why am I saying that? Because you don’t feel anger. You might not even feel compassion in that moment. You simply feel absolutely free.
There is no huge push in you, and there is no triggering one way or another. There is the clarity of, “Ah, I see why that is happening. That pattern is happening again. I’m not surprised.”
There is no need to be surprised because if somebody has shown you who they are, and they don’t do inner inquiry or inner work, and they are not accountable, then they’re likely to repeat the same behavior.
Their survival may depend on making you the bad guy. Their survival depends upon it, in their perception.
They may fill themselves with a great amount of joy when they can have others join them because of a false sense of community, as well as a false sense of survival.
And so what I am saying to you—and I go back to this and I always will—is: do your inner work.
Even if you are being attacked, do your inner work. Even if you don’t feel seen or heard, do your inner work. Even if you feel like God has given up on you, or whatever your belief system is, do your inner work. If you don’t feel reachable, do your inner work.
What’s that inner work?
Loving yourself.
Loving yourself so much more than asking for proof from your world and the universe that you are unworthy; more than looking for proof from others that you don’t matter; more than getting proof from others that you are not likable.
Understand that loving yourself more than all of that does not require you to make anyone wrong. It frees you so you no longer feel that you need to.
And I’m not talking politics here. I’m talking about your personal world right now: your friends, your family, your relationship, and so on.
What I’m saying to you is that you have been created with all the tools you need to have the life you desire.
The only thing that may be missing—and it might not be missing for you; you might be thriving, and I hope you are, and I celebrate that—but if you are not, what may be missing is your own inner dialogue.
You may be disconnected from your own inner music.
If you look within—hey, grab a flashlight and look within—if you feel like, “Wow, I’m so tired. I don’t feel like trying anymore. I’m so absolutely tired,” then take that flashlight, look within, or look into your thoughts and ask, “Are these my thoughts? Really? Do they come from me?”
Really think about it.
Then you may start going, “Well, no. I really don’t feel that way about myself.”
Okay. Then how do you feel about yourself?
Boom. Replace it right there and then.
In my view, a renewal and a recalibration for your cellular body just happened when you did that.
Then ask, “How do I feel? I’m going within, but I don’t see any parts of myself in there. I see what my mother, my father, my brothers, my teacher, my bosses, my boyfriend think of me. But where am I? I’m not in there.”
Boom. Right there.
That clarity—every time there is a moment of clarity with yourself—creates a new map of your world with you at the center of it.
Falling back into love with yourself is not ego unless it’s being used that way. One way is genuine and the other is not.
How do you know if it’s genuine? Let’s talk about other people for a moment. If a person is being genuine in their inner inquiry, then they’re not necessarily looking for attention. They’re not screaming. They’re not jumping up and down. They’re not taking over the room. They may be quietly listening and having their experience.
Again, I’m not going to generalize. It can be other experiences as well. It can be other ways of being.
But do not bypass yourself.
If you have put who you are in the hands of others—who you are, how you are, whether you’re accepted or not accepted—welcome to the human race. You have had your experience with that particular lesson.
If you haven’t had it yet, you will. That’s part of your soul evolution, in my view.
Then the opportunity is for you to go into a place of asking, “Okay, who do I choose to be? Who do I know myself to be?”
And if you don’t know, what a wonderful opportunity to start getting to know yourself.
Again, I’m going to go back to the music.
I’m going to offer you another concept to contemplate. I love this.
To your guides, your angels, and your loved ones on the other side, you are music on this Earth plane.
You—just you. Not you listening to music. Not you playing an instrument. You breathing are seen and experienced as music.
How do I mean?
You are walking around, literally, with the tools of a symphony that are communicating all parts of you with the external world and the internal world, then back to the external and internal, because it’s all connected.
So tuning into who you are and how you are matters.
I’m going to give you another example. Permission was asked and granted by this client.
This person was having a session with me, and she said, “Oh my gosh, I smell something so strong.”
I said, “Huh?” We were not in person. We were on FaceTime.
I asked, “What are you smelling?”
She was looking around and said, “Oh my gosh, it’s so strong,” but she couldn’t identify a physical source around her. She had recently lost a loved one.
All of a sudden, this scent just showered me. It was the strongest scent, and it was a beautiful scent. It was so beautiful.
I looked at her and said, “Oh my gosh.” We were five hours away from each other at that moment, so I wasn’t even physically close enough to get the scent. We were five hours apart.
I said to her, “Wow, it’s filling up my office.”
I told her, “It has notes that are woodsy and floral.”
Her head snapped toward me, and she said, “Exactly. That’s exactly what I smell—notes that are woodsy and floral.”
Immediately, her loved one who had passed came into the experience, and we went into more dialogue.
My point is that our loved ones on the other side, our guides, our angels, and so on—however you see it—see us as walking, living instruments that are part of an orchestra.
And that orchestra never stops producing, manifesting, and creating. Never.
Even when you are like, “I’m so done. I’m going to sleep,” or, “I’m so done. I’m unplugging,” or whatever it is, that other part of you continues.
When your humanity is so done, take a rest. But your spirit and your vibration, as I perceive them, don’t need a rest because they are in a continuum. They are not operating from, “I only have so much and then I need to stop. I’m completely drained. I’ve gone to zero.”
The divine orchestra—the orchestra that dwells within you—is functioning at all times, and you are very much a part of that.
If you don’t like music, and there are people out there who don’t resonate with music, that’s okay, too.
Then use whatever resonates with you within yourself. Maybe it’s tools—the tools of living, the tools of vibration, the tools of life, the tools of feeling positive versus negative.
You are being called upon at this time, literally being called upon, to become the grandest and greatest version of yourself that you have ever been, and to simply hold that, to be it, to breathe life into it, and not let it get drained away.
So my invitation to you is: breathe life into the best, grandest, greatest version of you.
You’re going to hear from people all over the world, or in your neighborhood, or in your personal world, who tell you the opposite of that. If you do, I invite you to listen, but don’t attach.
Don’t start throwing away the instruments that make up the beauty of who you are and your connectedness to all that is simply because somebody else is disconnected from their own.
There is no greater sign of that, in my view, than somebody who lies, spreads negativity, or in any way, shape, or form creates a false narrative in your world. Whatever their reason for doing so, they may be running away from themselves.
But whatever the reason, it doesn’t matter.
What matters is that you stay strong, stay connected to who you are, and don’t take on other people’s opinions about you or their negative talk about you.
Right now, there’s a really strong pull in either a negative direction or a positive one. Standing in between, you may feel a little dizzy.
So you want to experience the empowerment, the strength, and the knowing of who you are.
It doesn’t matter who it is. If somebody is in your face and they’re being negative, or they’re doing it behind your back, whatever you’re finding out, being shown, or experiencing—I’m not saying it’s fun. I’m not saying buy that person flowers. No.
I’m saying: don’t lose yourself.
Don’t lose yourself. Understand that the person who is acting in that way may have lost themselves a long time ago.
When you see it clearly, then you can connect with clarity to yourself without giving parts of yourself away.
Without giving parts of yourself away.
If music doesn’t resonate with you, then know what does.
If you’re an architect, then know that your guides and your loved ones may see you as the most amazing architect walking around the world. Really personalize this and make it your own.
Use what you resonate with, what speaks to you.
Let’s say you want to help the world in one direction or another. Embody it. Go within. Embody it.
I say choose light, choose love, choose balance.
I say that because when you choose those things, then you feel those things within you. When you choose something that is the opposite of that, then you feel those things within you.
So what truly do you want to nurture? What truly do you want to embody? And truly, why are you here? Why are you here?
You’re not here to be liked. You’re not here to not be liked. You’re here to remember who you are and to allow yourself to come from a place of clarity, self-respect, and self-love.
And why? You might say, “Oh my God, she’s telling us to come from a place of love and self-respect, blah, blah, blah.” Why?
Because then that is what you will get back. That is what you will get back.
If you are looking for a certain experience in this world, become it, and then you will receive it.
And if you’re still waiting and it’s not happening, then that’s a sign to you as well.
If you’re waiting and it’s not happening, look around. Who are you hanging out with? What’s the dialogue like? Are you being authentic with yourself? Are you being truthful with yourself about why you’re hanging out with these individuals?
The key is: everything that you need is within you.
My hope for you is that you choose to experience yourself as more than, “I’m just a human being.” The word “just” diminishes the truth of who you are.
You are a magnificent part of something so much bigger than just a human being.
There are tools within you to access and help you navigate the times we’re in without closing your heart down and without wanting to put the covers over your head.
Now, are there moments in our humanity when we absolutely want to put the covers over our head or eat that kind of ice cream or whatever? Yes. So do it.
But at the same time, empower yourself to connect more with what’s going on around you.
What am I talking about? Nature. Nature.
Empower yourself to communicate with the beings around you. Okay, you don’t have to talk to anybody. But I would say to you, if it resonates, empower yourself to communicate with the consciousness that is dwelling in all things.
Hey, I have a plant here that I’m staring at, and when I talk to this plant, all its leaves lean toward me.
You’ve probably noticed plants outside your home or inside, where their leaves—or the entire tree—lean toward what? The light.
What is it reaching for? The light.
What am I talking about? I’m talking about consciousness, universal consciousness, continuity, and connection.
Connection.
So seek to know yourself, and know that in doing so, you get to make yourself feel not only more supported, but like, “Wow, I had so many more tools than I was giving myself permission to use, and they were right inside of me.”
If you’re feeling bad, disconnected, or not well, turn the music on. Raise the vibrational frequency.
Focus on the part of your body—or your life, anywhere—where you want clarity. Focus on what you want to clear up, what you want to heal, or where you want the chaos to disperse and transmute.
You are definitely capable of doing that and so much more.
So thank you for tuning in to Awakening Matters, because it certainly does.
Again, my website is cynthiasloan9.com.
I’m sending you many, many blessings and love.
And I hope that if you’re going to judge yourself, you stop judging yourself. Start noticing when you judge yourself, and take that moment to choose a loving thought to replace the judging one.
Okay. Bye for now.
