Notable Job History

 1.  Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services: Territory, all the Gulf States plus Georgia,and North and South Carolina. I traveled to all the Lutheran churches in those areas, encouraging them to be welcoming and open to people with developmental disabilities. 

2. Lifespan, Jackson, Michigan. Direct Care Worker with autistic youth, preparing them for jobs and independent living beyond group homes. 

 

   I am now living in Sun City, Summerlin, Las Vegas, retired. Also, I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2012, and have experienced first-hand the rollercoaster experience of having decent care through good insurance, and being uninsured and reliant on free clinics. I have also been a good and compliant patient, and have been downright obstinate and uncooperative. I'm also a very curious patient, have done extensive research on diabetes, and have also shut my curiosity off at times, just not wanting to know about this insidious disease that can cost me my limbs. I feel I bring to the table a comprehensive experience as a diabetic, and maybe I can help others because I know the cost of this battle.
