S5EP19, Reinventing Herself and Now Saving the World with Pam Pence

Pam Pence moved six times before the age of 15. As a Navy Brat, she learned to be independent and make things work. Living in a patriarchy with her military father, she did what she was told until the age of 50 when she started doing what she wanted. Married at 19, she waited until 37 to have her two children. She went from being an accountant, to a yoga instructor, to a yoga therapist who worked with veterans with PTSD, and finally to the executive director of Stable Planet.

She is now committed to saving the planet, one family at a time. See bio for more about Stable Planet.

Thank you, Pam, for your dedication to helping people and making the world a better place.

BIO
Pam Pence, Executive Director of Stable Planet Alliance, steers the collaborative leadership team, is a dedicated humanity and Earth Advocate, applying her business, somatic trauma healing, generative discussions facilitator and spiritual guide skills wherever she is led! She’s earned her MBA, CPA, and various certificates as yoga therapist, practitioner of healing modalities and meditation teacher over several careers. Pam awoke to our ecological overshoot and opportunity to evolve after the start of the Covid pandemic, noticing how the sheer number of humans was exacerbating all other issues. With her long-time spiritual perspective she sees that our deeply embedded belief in separation causes disconnection from ourselves, other humans, non-human beings and Earth. She is working alongside several others in providing a learning journey about our conundrum and our way forward as well as an ongoing community to support those finding the courage to speak out. In addition, she is laying plans to reach ever broader audiences with a strong dose of reality and hope--active hope as Joanna Macy named it!
