AUTHOR MICHAEL POPE'S LINCOLN'S GHETTO BOOK SERIES RELEASED ON AMAZON

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Air Force Veteran Michael R. Pope announces the completion and release of his highly anticipated book series, Lincoln's Ghetto, available now on Amazon. The final installment includes the fourth book in the series, marking the completion of this gripping and thought-provoking saga.

The Lincoln's Ghetto book series uses U.S historical facts about the birth of the nation through the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and then converts the tale in to the fictional following of an African-American Chicago Lawyer and his son in the 1970’s. The family becomes unwittingly tied to a Lincoln will worth billions of dollars. Their lives were surprisingly impacted by this circumstance in a post Civil-Rights era Mid-West America. Pope masterfully intertwines a diverse group of characters living in the fictional neighborhood of Lincoln's Ghetto, threading greed, racism, love, loss, redemption, and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

"I am thrilled to finally share the conclusion of the Lincoln's Ghetto series with my readers. This has been a labor of love for me, and I am grateful for the support and encouragement of my fans throughout this journey,” said Pope.

Readers can now purchase all four books in the Lincoln's Ghetto series on Amazon in both print and e-book formats. The series has garnered critical acclaim for its powerful storytelling and vivid characters, societal questioning, historical explanation, and comic relief, making it a must-read for fans of contemporary fiction.

Book Descriptions

Prequel Book - Lincoln’s Gift - The Historical origin story lays out the timeline of U.S. history into the establishment of a (fictional) will left by President Abraham Lincoln for his family worth billions of dollars.

Book 1 - Lincoln’s Touch - 1977 Chicago is where knowledge of the will is uncovered after the suicide of a Catholic Archbishop. A corrupt Chicago lawyer, Howard McDougle, cobbles together the Chicago Mob and a Vatican City Elite to create a broad conspiracy to snatch the will’s bounty for “the good of the church.”  An unsuspecting African-American Law student and his 12-year old son from the South Side of Chicago are unknowingly targeted to be pawns in the game.

Book 2 - Lincoln’s Son - Five years later, the conspiracy matures and the Chicago South Side lawyer’s son, Darnell Whitaker, is ripped away from his home and moved two hours south of the Windy City to the historical home of the 16th U.S. President, to Lincoln, Illinois. He must adapt and learn how to cope and survive in this new and strange place.

Book 3 - Lincoln’s Shame - Darnell’s father, now attorney, Percy Whitaker, has been working feverishly with his female law partner to retrieve his son from the rural town of Lincoln Illinois. The conspiracy is close to a deadly and lucrative conclusion when all hell breaks loose in the small town. A string of horrible occurrences begin to pop off, sending the conspiracy into a destructive spiral, jeopardizing the will.

Book 4 - Lincoln’s War - Legal forces of attorney Whitaker and the corrupt Howard McDougle, square off in an explosive court battle in the small town of Lincoln, splitting the town apart.  Lies and deceit contaminate the trail and the blood of the towns’ people. The conclusion requires a twisting of the rules to scrape up any form of resolution to the entire high stakes drama. But who gets the will?
