Cathy, I thoroughly enjoyed your interview with Robert “Dr. Doom” Brazile. I learned so much about him and his inspiring journey to the NFL Hall of Fame. He is, and has always been, a true class act. Growing up in Mobile, I was in the same high school class—though at a different school—and his reflections on desegregation deeply resonated with me. It took me back, especially since I knew many of the people he mentioned and understood the social atmosphere of that time.

“Cathy, I just watched your broadcast, and it is by far the best interview with Robert I have ever seen. Allowing him to see and ponder the questions you would pose (in advance) gave him space to speak to you in a heartfelt way that other interviewers missed. Your crew did an excellent job snipping out the extraneous and phasing in the most important. And YOU let Robert shine — I will never forget that. Thank you so much for giving us one more cherished memory of this man.”
