Jerri Sher - Director, Producer, Writer
Michelle's guest is Jerri Sher. Jerri, a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA) is an award-winning filmmaker. Currently she is in pre-production on the documentary feature LIVE LIFE, a movie about the human spirit, and its ability to heal. In 2004 she interviewed more than 30 individuals for the documentary film that she directed, wrote and produced, MISSION TO MATRIMONY: THE GAY MARRIAGE PROPOSAL. The 78-minute movie explores the hot debate concerning the legalization and inequality of same-sex marriage in this country and will screen at the Global Peace Film Festival in Sept.Her documentary SOUL OF AN EMPIRE that she co-wrote, produced and directed won Best Documentary Feature Awards at the Big Bear Lake Film Festival and The Tampa Film & Video Festival. It was awarded the Special Jury Award at the Savannah Film & Video Festival and was a finalist in the Dallas USA Competition. It has been selected to screen at the Hope and Dreams Film Festival and La Femme Film Festival in October. THE AUTUMN HEART, staring Ally Sheedy and Tyne Daly that was in the Sundance Dramatic Competition, 1999 and released by Arrow Pictures. INTERMEZZO, produced by Jerri in 1997, won the Bronze for Best Dramatic Film at the Student Academy Awards in Los Angeles. She has worked side by side on four films with Emmy award-winning cinematographer, Jeri Sopanen who shot Louis Malles MY DINNER WITH ANDRE.
The transition into the film industry came after an eighteen year career in the trucking business. After working in sales and marketing management for GOD Guaranteed Overnight Deli every, Jerris skills as a producer had been developed. A professor and guest lecturer (with a BFA in 3 and a half years and Masters in ED), Jerri has taught at several colleges and universities throughout the country and abroad. Her main goal on the set or in the classroom is to inspire others to fulfill their dreams and bring them to reality. Jerri is a member of the Alliance of Women Directors (AWD) the Independent Documentary Association (IDA) and the DGA and resides in Los Angeles.

I invite all the listeners to listen with the inner knowing that we are all One as we unite here on the air. We are called to be aware of our own perceptions and interpretations of what IS.
Each individual is learning and moving on with what is. Let us allow ourselves to be okay with what is said and take in whatever has shown up in our lives as the presence of the Divine and the light of the Universe showing itself and revealing itself as me, you and all.
