Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, Sydney Castillo is a writer and stand-up comedian making waves in the entertainment industry. Not yet 30 years old, Sydney has already established himself as a comedic force performing at some of the country’s most renowned comedy clubs: “The Comedy Store”, “The Laugh Factory”, and “The Improv” (nationwide) as well as touring with David Alan Grier, Chris Spencer and Tony Rock. Sydney’s comedic talent is also currently featured on the “I heart Jonas Brothers” DVD available for purchase nationally. Appearing on over a dozen comedy shows and specials, Sydney provides the audience with a very distinctive perspective on life mixed in with a little southern charm. Performing on hit shows like HBO’s “Bad Boys of Comedy” and BET’s “1 Mic Stand”, audiences have labeled him hilarious and hysterically funny while bookers have labeled him a cutting edge, rising star.
A self-proclaimed R&B sensation, Sydney is also a thriving comedic/sketch comedy writer having written for BET’s “HellDate”, The Tony Rock Project, both the 2008 & 2009 BET Awards, and Humor Mill Magazine.
