Summary
The next time you get angry about 'illegal immigrants', don't forget, we all were once ... including us Irish, who were feared and hated in America while being used as cheap labor and cannon fodder.
When I watch this clip (below) I remember my great-grandfather Daniel Edward O'Neill, deported by the British with his starving family from Cork, Ireland on a 'coffin ship' in 1880. Only ten year old Daniel survived when the ship arrived in Montreal; the rest of his family died of typhus and starvation.
I also remember all the families who are now being beaten, jailed, and separated by ICE and other police state forces all over America and the world.
An injury to one is an injury to all.
