Karen "Tallkat" Conley was born in the small fishing village of Tarpon Springs on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
She had access to the spirit world from the age of five and through self determination and will overcame a childhood of adversity, abuse and poverty.
Following a twenty year career as a nurse, a dramatic life altering event directed her to a full time consulting practice as a psychic medium and spiritual teacher.
She is a Reiki master and ordained minister. She studied with Pat Price from the famed Lily Dale mediumship community, The Town that Talks to the Dead, in upstate New York and mentored with Dr. Lauren Thibodeau, Ph.d a well known New York psychic medium and spiritual development teacher.
She studied with Rev Frances "Lil Wolf" Rodriquez, shaman/curanderea, and completed additional training with RSE (an ancient mystery school located in Washington State.)
Tallkat offers creative workshops designed to enhance intuitive development as a skill for real people to apply to everyday life. Her motivational speaking combines spirituality with current global and human issues. The emphasis is always personal empowerment. Her teaching style is described as straighforward, comedic and life changing.
She hosted her own radio show Tallkat's Psychic 101 often giving spontaneous live readings to callers and guests.
She was a regular and highly entertaining guest on The Afternoon Show with Chris Stevens on FM Magik101.7.
Tallkat enjoyed participating in Fran Taylor Powers' Power Stories, a regional theater ensemble of women and girls who write and perform life stories on the theatrical stage and other locations.
It is never too late to have a happy childhood. With this in mind,Tallkat took riding lessons at the age of forty-eight (something she dreamed of as a child but never achieved) and won several ribbons at local horse shows which remains a personal accomplishment.
She was a photographer with both Horses for the Handicapped and the State of Florida Special Olympics equestrian division.
Her first person horse stories have appeared in the national equestrian magazine, Saddle and Bridle.
Tallkat now lives with her husband Michael in the Sangre De Christo mountains of New Mexico in an earth-sheltered home along with four cats and their dog, Grace. They grow their own veggies and tend a small fruit orchard, striving to live close to the land in a sustainable and self reliant way.
