This hits very close to home for me. How familiar, everything that happened to Gary Webb, especially the part about being 'controversialized'. The same pattern hits any of us who don't back down from the truth. They first go after your family and supporters, and do everything possible to discredit and isolate you. The rest follows naturally. But after enough of the ordeal, if we survive, we lose our fatal illusions and learn how to navigate and continue. The important thing is to never give up.
