Blair Hickey is a working actor and co-founder of CastingAbout, an online Los Angeles casting and production guide, which was recently acquired by Breakdown Services Ltd., and is now preparing for its expansion to other cities, such as New York, Vancouver and Chicago.

Blair's acting credits include roles in many top-rated TV shows, including How I Met Your Mother, Medium, Ghost Whisperer, Without A Trace, The O.C., Angel, Ally McBeal, The Practice and Sex and The City. Before moving to LA, Blair worked and trained in New York and regional theatre, serving as a founding member of the Working Group Theatre Company. He received a BFA in Theatre Arts from Brown University in 1991.

The idea for CastingAbout was sparked by Blair's experiences marketing himself as an actor, and his desire for a better, more organized and accurate source of casting information. Blair and his business partner, Brian Wold, launched the website in 2004, and now oversee what has become the newest division of Breakdown Services. The site currently has thousands of subscribers, who include actors, managers, agents and other industry personnel.
