Guest Biography:

From a childhood of being endlessly mocked for his weight, Zach Herman has been on a mission. Zach says:

“I began my journey to fitness in the worst possible way. I was shamed into it. As an indoor kid growing up, I didn’t have many friends. I turned to video games and food for comfort, leaving me out of shape and socially maladjusted.

Eventually, I found a connection in theatre: all the imagined worlds to live in and parts to play resonated with me. This, of course, didn’t help an overweight kid in his early teens already facing ridicule every day for being the fat kid; now, because people think any guy in theater and dance is gay, I was the fat, gay kid too. I couldn’t change their biases, but I could change myself.

It wasn’t a healthy start. I’ve hit every fad and fitness myth. I’ve starved myself, I’ve done endless cardio, I’ve bought the workout DVDs, I’ve been led down a path that doesn’t work for me time and time again.

Then I got smart. I got educated and certified by the International Sports Sciences Association. I started training in 2016, and most recently took it a step further with Precision Nutrition in 2019.

As for my social issues, going through drama school, performing abroad, showcasing and auditioning in New York City every week, I’ve found a rhythm. The work is never done, and I continue to work on myself and set an example for my clients.”

JOHN PROULX

The jazz scene is a buzz about singer, pianist, composer, and recording artist, John Proulx (pronounced “Proo”). His piano playing is hot and swinging, and his voice recalls the smooth, mellow sounds of a young Chet Baker. John’s latest CD, “Say It”, on the ArtistShare label, features Chuck Berghofer, Joe LaBarbera, Larry Koonse, Bob Sheppard, a duet with Melissa Manchester, and three string quartet arrangements by Alan Broadbent. John’s previous three albums on MAXJAZZ, “The Best Thing For You”, “Baker’s Dozen- Remembering Chet Baker”, and “Moon and Sand”, have garnered national and international acclaim, and John’s fan base is quickly growing. In addition to touring with his own trio, John has performed with the likes of Anita O’Day, Natalie Cole, Melissa Manchester, Michael Feinstein, and Marian McPartland.

As a composer, John has written songs for many notable singers. Jazz legend, Nancy Wilson, recorded “These Golden Years”, a song that John co-wrote with lyricist D. Channsin Berry, for her 2006 Grammy-winning CD, “Turned to Blue”. Most recently, John co-wrote a song called “Stained Glass” with Melissa Manchester for his new album, “Say It”. John and Melissa also co- wrote a song called “Big Light” for her 20th studio album, “You Gotta Love

The Life”, featuring a duet with Melissa and Al Jarreau. Jazz singer, Mary Stallings, recorded “Stuck in a Dream” (2005, “Remember Love”), and “Before You Know It” (2010, “Dream”), two songs John co-wrote with lyricist K. Lawrence Dunham. Deana Martin also recorded “Stuck in a Dream” on her latest album, “Destination Moon”. As an arranger, John has written arrangements for vocalists Ann Hampton Callaway, Linda Purl, and Antonia Bennett.

John began his formal musical education at the age of 3 in Grand Rapids, MI on Suzuki violin, but quickly switched to classical piano lessons. His late grandfather, Clyde Proulx, was a jazz guitarist who introduced him to the world of jazz. Hooked on the freedom of improvisation, his education took him to Chicago to study at Roosevelt University’s Chicago School of Performing Arts. In 2001, John moved to Los Angeles to further his musical pursuits. He emerged as a young talent on the Los Angeles jazz scene and loved the wide-range of opportunities the city had to offer.

John also spent four months in 2009 at the prestigious Feinstein’s at the Loews Regency hotel in New York playing a nightly solo piano/vocal engagement. Since then, John has appeared on Michael Feinstein’s radio show on NPR, “Song Travels” as well as on Marian McPartland’s radio show, “Piano Jazz”. John recently received a Master’s degree in “Jazz vocal performance” from Western Michigan University, and is currently on faculty at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, Cal State University Long Beach, and jazzvoice.com.

Guest Biography:

The life mission of Lee Tomlinson – also known as “Patient Lee” -- is to inspire healthcare professionals to return compassionate care to its rightful place at the forefront of modern healthcare — to benefit patients, their families, the bottom line; and perhaps most importantly, they’re often suffering, “burned-out” selves.

Finding this mission wasn’t even remotely easy.

Award-winning television producer, movie studio executive, and owner, former professional athlete, speaker, and TED Talk presenter, “Patient Lee” is alive today due to the combination of a lifetime of extraordinarily effective medical treatment and deeply kind, compassionate care.

Unfortunately, during a recent battle with Stage 3+ throat cancer, “Patient Lee” became painfully aware of the trauma caused by treatment lacking in compassion that drove him to the darkest of depths. What saved him from suicide was a tiny, simple, yet powerful act of compassion delivered by a loving doctor and friend.

With his renewed zeal for life and newfound purpose, “Patient Lee” created the Compassion Heals Movement. This Movement is designed to reconnect  America’s 20 million healthcare professionals with the compassion that got them into healthcare in the first place. Then, do whatever is necessary to prevent the “burn-out” that affects over 60% of these vital caretakers, rendering them unable to provide compassion to their patients, themselves, or anyone else. And finally, once healed of their own distress, to reignite these dedicated professionals, and inspire them to redouble their efforts in providing even more compassion than before — all to better heal their patients and the world.

Lee has already told his story on more than 200 stages around the world, wearing nothing but a hospital gown. Presented with his unique mixture of humor, compassion, urgency, encouragement, and call-to-action, “Patient Lee” is making a difference in restoring compassion to healthcare…and to the world at large.

Guest Biography:

Anthony Teresi is a renowned clairvoyant, master astrologer, psychic visionary, sound healer, and empath, highly respected for his compassion and integrity. Ever striving to grow into complete alignment with the highest states of consciousness, his soul mission has been the development, refinement, exploration, and mastery of his intuitive and psychic nature.

He has to lead a lifetime dedicated to extensive study and experience, through which he has attained a remarkable capacity to access and embody the worlds
of vibrational healing, clairvoyance, psychic phenomenon, metaphysics, cosmology, mysticism, theosophy, ontology, eastern and western philosophy, Gnosticism, a flower of life physics, psychology, and beyond. Through the attainment of this vast knowledge, his passionate desire to realize full self-discovery and enlightened transformation grew, leading him to even more esoteric studies.

Longing to go even deeper, he gained further spiritual insight through the practice of single-point meditation, which revealed a new sensory gift; the ability to communicate directly through consciousness the unspoken language of the heart. Upon the activation of this heightened awakening, he began hearing and feeling the voices of those in need on a global scale, and felt compelled to rise to that call, for now, was the time to share these gifts in a greater way. While Anthony’s true path has always been grounded in commitment and service to humanity, the totality of these experiences had become greater than the sum of their parts. As a new consolidated vehicle of expression emerged, he became compelled to reach out as a beacon of understanding and hope, helping humanity and all those seeking a deeper truth to find and follow their own true path.

Recently, Anthony has passionately studied the emerging fields of neural plasticity, epigenetics, heart-mind coherence, and the wondrous concepts relating to The Field. The blossoming of Anthony’s natural born gifts bore the unique capacity to tune in to the realm of universal knowledge and the hidden mysteries of the cosmos. This knowing empowers him to see, hear and, most importantly, interpret messages from spirit, revealing profound inner truths. This revelation was made possible as he has been granted passage through multidimensional portals of consciousness that link humanity with the realm of infinite possibility, both here in this plain of existence and beyond.

Choosing to travel the path of the mystic visionary, Anthony’s journey simultaneously flowed into cosmic attunement, musical revelations, multifaceted creativity, and artistic expression. Bridging both the physical and celestial forces giving him a pure connection with the realms of the cosmic and divine, his expanded perceptive sensitivity is intimately attuned to a chorus of heavenly guides and the eternal beings that watch over us all. Born with expanded awareness, Anthony has always been touched by and connected with the divine presence that surrounds and flows through every living creation. This is a precious blessing that has given him untold insight into the limitless nature of Being.

Anthony is a multidimensional traveler who fuses his innate gifts with intelligence and the wisdom born of heart-centered intuition. He has taught and administered spiritual healing and guidance to thousands from around the globe as they search to experience and understand the unseen forces that shape and transform all of our lives.
