Now let's go to the throne of the Lord and ask the Lord to anoint this service. I need this service to be directly from Him, directly from the throne of God in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Father, we just thank and praise Your holy name that You are on the throne and that You know all about it. You know everything that's going on. And we know, Lord, that people who are of You are walking in Your Spirit, and they are doing everything that You tell them to do.
I know that You have been guiding me all the way, and I praise and thank You, Lord. Touch the hearts of people who are unsaved out in the world, and touch the hearts of people in churches - people who have been led away by false doctrine, false preachers, and false accusers, as You said would appear in the last days, and people who would accuse the people of the Lord for doing what the Lord told them to do.
Lord, I just can't thank and praise You enough for giving us the Word, which is the power, which is the Spirit. People call it grace. Your Shakespeare changed the word "power" to "grace," but we know that the word grace means the power of God. Power and truth came by Jesus Christ. The law came by Moses, and the law is good because it hustles people over to Your mercy, because all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
But when we come to You, we come to You, Father, for forgiveness, and we come to You for a complete change of heart. That can only happen when we die - when we allow ourselves to be nailed to Your cross, and we take up our own cross and follow You.
A dead person cannot sin. A person who's nailed to the cross - I've never seen a person lying in a coffin ever sinning. They can't sin anymore. They can't do any good or evil. That's exactly where You want us to be. You want us to be totally dead, because Your Spirit, when it enters, mortifies the deeds of the flesh.
And then, in our dead self - dead to the ways that we used to live - You begin doing Your work in and through us. That's the position You want us to be in.
I pray, Lord, that tonight something will be said, and that You will give through me something to dispense into the hearts of the unsaved and into the church that will cause them to die out to the world, because You said, "Love not the world." For in the world there is nothing but the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life.
And so we must do as You say. You said for us to deny ourselves. You said for us to give our life, which means to give our former life to You, to give our bodies to You so that we can be Your temple that You live and work in.
Lord, I pray that people will do that this evening, this afternoon, this morning - whenever they're hearing this message - so that they will have immortality, eternal life, and the power within them from You living in them: Jesus, with the Father, by the Spirit.
Then they'll have Your power in them to deny themselves, take up the cross, follow, and begin doing what You did, because it won't be them; it will be You in them, because they've totally surrendered themselves unto You.
Lord, let them receive this, that they may be saved and that the church may be strengthened. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen.
