Helping the World to Heal One Woman at a Time I was a school teacher for many years. I took 7 years out to be a stay-at-home mum then got a part-time job in a local school. Coincidentally with that I was diagnosed with MS. I worked out a way to combat physical symptoms and enrolled on a Psychology degree to combat potential cognitive problems. I loved studying and my symptoms were minimized. I then completed a PhD in Psychology and was offered a junior lecturing position at a prestigious university. Unfortunately, my husband’s ego was bruised as I was now more qualified than him and no longer financially dependent on him. We ended up getting divorced in 2001 two weeks before my 50th birthday. I knew then I had earn enough to allow me to keep the house and the lifestyle I had enjoyed. Within 5 years I got a series of promotions to become a senior manager. In 2004 a wonderful man came back into my life after having no contact for 33 years. We’ve now been married for nearly 16 years. During this time, I’ve done a variety of coaching training programs and now I’m a master Health and Wellness Coach and a Certified Divorce Coach. I’m now planning retirement for my position as a professor of psychology to concentrate on coaching. As the Divorce Doctor I work mainly with women over 40 at all stages of their divorce journey. Like all good ‘doctors’ I believe prevention is better than cure. I will help couples Consciously Re-Couple if they decode to make up or to Consciously De-Couple if they decide to break up. Once a woman has gone through divorce I work with them on an holistic health and wellness program. Passion mapping can be incorporated at all stages of this divorce journey. I hope my own divorce journey will be an inspiration to other older women facing this very stressful event.
