Bill Chastain was born in 1941 in a coal camp in Harlan County, Kentucky, but was raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Bill then joined the US Air Force, an environment in which he thrived, and was promoted right out of basic training to become the youngest Drill Instructor in the Air Force.

After the military he took a job in an electronics factory, soon progressing into the research lab, then field project engineer designing and building steel mills and power plants. His company offered him a full scholarship to Pittsburgh University for engineering, but he turned it down.

Bill left Pittsburgh for Olympia, Washington where he managed very large pulp and paper mill construction projects. After forest products he entered aerospace, taking a job as a facilities worker in a Boeing Plant near Seattle. Soon he was managing projects, including the largest aircraft production facility in the world and the Boeing Japan Offices in Tokyo. After 13 years, Bill retired from Boeing as a self-taught Senior Strategic Analyst.

After Boeing, Bill traveled the world as an international trouble-shooter until 2006 when he returned to aerospace as a consultant with the Boeing Company. While at Boeing Bill began working with a medical discovery, later known as APeX. The first person exposed to APeX resolved their Stage IIIC Lung cancer in three months and word spread. Soon there were many cancer victims wanting to try this new discovery. Bill and his wife Emi decided to give up aerospace consulting and devote full time to APeX. That was almost five years ago.
 

Dr. Hoffman is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Medical University of South Carolina.  She received her M.D. degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1983 and completed her Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1989.  She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  Dr. Hoffman is the chief of endoscopic ultrasound, Section Leader of GI Malignancy for the DDC, and head of the GI Focus Group for the Hollings Cancer Center.

Dr. Hoffman is a member of several organizations, including the American Gastroenterological Association; American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy; American College of Gastroenterology; American College of Physicians; American Endosonography Club; Charleston Medical Society; Southern Medical Association; and the South Carolina Gastroenterology Association.  Additionally, Dr. Hoffman has received numerous honors, including Faculty Excellence Award; Top 20 Female Physicians-Southern Woman to Woman; Who’s Who/Physicians of the Southeast; American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Audio/Visual Award; America’s Top Doctors; and Best Doctors.

Joe Meadors was a U.S. Navy signalman on the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967 when Israel attacked and tried to sink the ship. He was on the bridge throughout the attack and has described seeing Israeli forces machine-gunning life rafts. He is past president and current director of operations of the USS Liberty Veterans Association, which is calling for a full investigation on the attack and subsequent cover-up by Israel and the U.S. government. In 2010 he participated in a flotilla of boats that tried to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza by taking humanitarian goods directly to Gaza. Joe was taken prisoner with the other passengers when Israeli forces hijacked the boat at sea, in violation of international law.

On June 8, 1967, US Navy intelligence ship USS Liberty was suddenly and brutally attacked on the high seas in international waters by the air and naval forces of Israel. The Israeli forces attacked with full knowledge that this was an American ship and lied about it. Survivors have been forbidden for 40 years to tell their story under oath to the American public. The USS Liberty Memorial web site tells their story and is dedicated to the memory of the 34 brave men who died.

The Attack

After surveilling USS Liberty for more than nine hours with almost hourly aircraft overflights and radar tracking, the air and naval forces of Israel attacked our ship in international waters without warning. USS Liberty was identified as a US naval ship by Israeli reconnaissance aircraft nine hours before the attack and continuously tracked by Israeli radar and aircraft thereafter. Sailing in international waters at less than five knots, with no offensive armament, our ship was not a military threat to anyone.

The Israeli forces attacked without warning and without attempting to contact us. Thirty four Americans were killed in the attack and another 174 were wounded.   The ship, a $40-million dollar state-of-the-art signals intelligence platform, was later declared unsalvageable and sold for scrap.

The Cover Up

Despite a near-universal consensus that the Israeli attack was made with full knowledge that USS Liberty was a US Navy ship, the Johnson administration began an immediate cover-up of this fact. Though administration officers continued individually to characterize the attack as deliberate, the Johnson administration never sought the prosecution of the guilty parties or otherwise attempted to seek justice for the victims. They concealed and altered evidence in their effort to downplay the attack. Though they never formally accepted the Israeli explanation that it was an accident, they never pressed for a full investigation either. They simply allowed those responsible literally to get away with murder.

In an ongoing effort to reveal the truth about the attack, the USS Liberty Veterans Association has filed with the Secretary of the Army in the manner prescribed by law a detailed, fully documented Report of War Crimes describing the circumstances of the attack on our ship and evidence that it was a crime under international law. In accordance with international law and treaties, the United States is obligated to investigate the allegations. The Betrayal of American Veterans

Americans who volunteer for military service effectively write a blank check, payable to the United States of America for an amount "up to and including my life." The United States, in turn, promises to spend these checks responsibly. That bargain implicitly includes a promise by the United States to protect them and to seek retribution against anyone who harms them. In the case of USS Liberty, the United States has failed to keep its end of the bargain.

Pat Chaffee is a Dominican Sister. She has been active in human rights advocacy for thirty years. She visited the West Bank in 2006 and Gaza in 2009. In 2010 she participated in the aborted Gaza Freedom March, marooned in Cairo.  Her motive for joining the flotilla is to tell the people of Gaza that she is opposed to her country's oppression. She is committed to nonviolence, under any circumstances.

27 Years of International Activism

Her portfolio is comprised of impressive 27-years of activism, starting in Nicaragua in 1984.  Her most recent mission was intended to be sailing with the Second Freedom Flotilla to Gaza.  All participants in this human rights mission however, were prevented from leaving Athens, Greece, their planned city of departure.  S. Pat had first become familiar with the Palestinian situation in 2007 when she took the first of three trips to the region as a member of a Christian peace-making team.  She met and spoke with Palestinians and experienced first-hand “what it meant to be occupied.”

Dr. Paul Larudee spent 14 years in Arab countries as a student, teacher, Fulbright-Hays lecturer, and U.S. government advisor. He has been to Palestine many times since 1965, and is active with the International Solidarity Movement, a nonviolent resistance group. He is a co-founder of the Free Palestine Movement (FPM) and the Free Gaza Movement (FGM), whose boats broke a 41-year-old Israeli naval blockade of Gaza in August, 2008, and he was a member of the U.S. delegation aboard the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, which was attacked by Israeli forces on May 31, 2010.

Paul Larudee was born to an Iranian Presbyterian minister and his American missionary spouse in 1946 and grew up in the American Midwest. He has a Ph.D. in linguistics from Georgetown University and spent 14 years in Arab countries as a contracted U.S. government advisor, Fulbright-Hays exchange lecturer, teacher, training administrator and graduate student.

Paul has visited the Palestinian region many times since 1965, including four times with the International Solidarity Movement, a Palestinian-led movement that applies nonviolent principles to resist Israeli human rights violations. Paul was among seven ISM volunteers wounded by Israeli gunfire in April, 2002 in an otherwise nonviolent attempt to help Palestinian families. In 2006, he was held in Israeli detention for two weeks while unsuccessfully appealing a decision to deny him entry. He helped organize nonviolent resistance in Lebanon during the 2006 Israeli invasion. He is one of the founders of the Free Gaza Movement, whose boats, on August 23, 2008, became the first in 41 years to enter Gaza by sea, breaking the Israeli naval blockade. He is also a founder of the Free Palestine Movement, which also seeks to challenge Israel's blockade and denial of access to all of Palestine by sea, air and land.

Paul, a former student of Noam Chomsky, became a Professor of Linguistics himself and remains a good friend and colleague of Professor Chomsky. Working with the NorCal branch of the International Solidarity Movement, Paul is very much a believer in and practitioner of Gandhi's principles of non-violence. Paul was one of the 5 USA delegates aboard the Sfendoni, a ship of the Freedom flotilla attempting to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza.

When Israeli commandos boarded the Sfendoni in 2010, Paul non-violently resisted, refused to sign any papers without his lawyer and as a result the Israelis tased, tied-up, twisted his limbs, slammed his head into concrete repeatedly, and hit him with a flash bomb. Paul suffered multiple bruises, 2 black eyes, but refused to be treated by Israeli doctors as he did not trust them, especially since he suffers from Diabetes and needed special treatment and compatible medication. Paul was kept in prison for two days at Givon Prison, Ramle, Israel.

My mediumship for the Great Brotherhood of Light is relatively recent, so I can make no claim to possessing a natural gift of clairvoyance from childhood. During a particularly low point in my life I took some time off from my business in Asia to return to Honolulu, my hometown. Yet, after the grieving over these two events had run their course, the deep sense of dissatisfaction returned. It was clear that these traumatic emotional events had triggered within me a general malaise.

For over a decade, prior to his retirement, Dr. Monteith led a delegation of physicians from Santa Cruz County to the House of Delegates of the California Medical Association. For 10 years he led the battle within organized medicine in California to address the AIDS epidemic as a medical issue rather than a civil rights issue. As a result of his experiences trying to implement an effective medical approach to the HIV epidemic, he wrote the book, "AIDS:The Unnecessary Epidemic", the widely circulated pamphlet, "To Deceive a Nation", and more recently, "A Nation Deceived and Betrayed." Supported by physicians across our nation, his public health approach to the HIV epidemic was eventually accepted by the California Medical Association. Unfortunately, powerful forces continue to oppose the dictates of doctors. Dr. Monteith currently spends five hours daily on talk radio in California. He writes extensively, and lectures on geopolitics. He has spent 30 years researching the causes for America's spiritual and moral decline.

Dr. Jeff Kane is a philosopher whose work has focused on the intuitive and imaginative elements of human knowledge. His world was forever changed in 2003 when his eldest son Gabriel died, propelling Jeff to explore meaning and other realms of existence. His book of poetry, Life as a Novice, expresses the powerful and raw emotions felt by all those who grieve. However, the awakening to a world beyond, the evidence for the indestructable bond of love, and the spiritual knowledge gained from looking within can offer hope to the hopeless.

Dr. Jeffrey Kane was appointed vice president for Academic Affairs in July, 2002. Prior to his appointment, he served for one year as the acting vice president for Academic Affairs, and for the five years prior, as the dean of the School of Education at the LIU Post campus.

Dr. Kane is responsible for the academic quality of the educational programs taught by LIU faculty members across all of the campuses. During his tenure, he has used his position to further extend the University's focus on students and their educational needs. Working with the deans and faculty members, he has helped to establish numerous innovative programs that offer students new and dynamic opportunities to further their education. With recently developed programs such as a doctoral degree in interdisciplinary educational studies at LIU Post, a joint master's degree in social work at the LIU Brooklyn and LIU Post campuses, doctoral degrees in pharmacy and physical therapy at LIU Brooklyn, and an interdisciplinary bachelor's degree in forensic science at LIU Post, he has guided the University in aggressively pursuing its mission of "Access and Excellence" in higher education.

Dr. Kane has led the way toward expanding the ranks of full-time faculty members while continuing to work with them to further develop the quality of teaching across the institution. He also has promoted effectively the importance of faculty scholarly activity as an intellectual foundation for an institution that is devoted to discovery and to the pursuit of knowledge. While meeting the demands of his current position, Dr. Kane has continued to write on matters related to the growth of the human mind including, most notably, contributing to and editing a volume of original essays titled "Education, Information and Transformation," which was published by Merrill Prentice Hall.

David John Oates, an Australian aged 54 years, is the founder and developer of Reverse Speech technologies. He was the first person to ever document speech reversals in human speech in 1983 and has worked extensively since then on research and development, as well as maintaining a therapeutic and consulting practice.

David has had an active career spanning 24 years, furthering the field of Reverse Speech as his full time occupation. He has developed new theories, and designed therapeutic and training techniques. He has published several books on Reverse Speech, including Beyond Backward Masking, Voices From The Unconscious and Its Only A Metaphor, and numerous tapes and training manuals. His work has also been featured in 100s of papers and well known publications such as The New York Times, Harpers Review, Omni magazine and Discover magazine.

David has been compared to Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell and Nicola Tesla and his work described as being of Nobel calibre with far reaching ramifications in such fields as law enforcement, business and psychology.

He is a certified Hypnotherapist and Trainer, and currently attends to his therapy and corporate consulting business using reverse speech techniques. David is also an accomplished public speaker, maintaining an active international speaking and training schedule as well as a popular guest on many international radio and TV programs.

He currently resides in Adelaide, South Australia.

As a former corporate art director and designer (Atlantic Richfield and American Hospital Supply Corp), Penney is well-versed in graphic design, copywriting, tech writing, editing, advertising, and promotion. She is able to communicate articulately from both sides of the brain, and is known for her down-to-earth ability to solve problems creatively. For many years Penney was business manager for, and copresenter with, trance medium Kevin Ryerson, who gained wide popularity through his connection with Shirley MacLaine.

Her schooling was completed at the University of Cincinnati School of Design, Architecture, and Art, The New School and Columbia University in New York City, and Disney's California Institute of the Arts near Los Angeles. Since her schooling in art and design, she has studied continuously in the areas of psychology, East-West philosophy, world religions, expanded perception, meditation, personality typing, astrology and numerology, and personal growth, both from books and from gifted individuals.
