PRO-TRUMP, PRO-GUNS, PRO-CONSTITUTION, PRO-ENERGY, PRO-LIFE, PRO-COLORADO, PRO-AMERICA. HEADING TO CONGRESS TO HELP PRESIDENT TRUMP BUILD THE WALL, DRAIN THE SWAMP, AND TELL ALL THE LEFT-WING LUNATICS WE DON’T WANT SOCIALISM, WE WANT OUR FREEDOM!

Partial Biography below taken from: https://laurenforcolorado.com/about

Lauren Boebert is a Coloradoan living on the Western Slope who believes in personal freedom, citizen rights, and upholding the Constitution of the United States. She is the founder, owner, and operator of Shooters Grill, a restaurant that earned national notoriety for staff that proudly open carry as they serve their customers. She gained additional recognition in September 2019 by attending presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke’s rally to tell him directly: “Hell, no, you won’t take our guns.” When Colorado’s liberal state government voted for the state to join the National Popular Vote Compact and hand our votes for President of the United States to California, Lauren became the second-largest signature gatherer (over 229,000 signatures were gathered statewide), insuring that voters would have the opportunity to repeal NPV this fall. If repealed, it will be the first time since the 1930’s that a law was repealed via citizen petition. Lauren is active in her church and has spent years counseling at-risk women at the local jail, encouraging them to become self-sufficient and productive members of society who do not depend on government assistance. She is an avid supporter of President Trump and his policies to Make America Great Again.

Guest Occupation: Inventor of the Sports Bra Memoir-Unleash the Girls!
Guest Biography:

Lisa Z. Lindahl is an artist, entrepreneur, and women’s health advocate. She invented the sports bra in 1977 and patented a medical garment for breast cancer survivors in 2000. She has a BS in education from the University of Vermont, a Masters of Arts in Culture and Spirituality from Holy Names University in California and is a graduate of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies’ Program of Advanced Initiations. She lives in Charleston, South Carolina.

Unleash The Girls

The Unlikely Story Of How One Woman Pioneered A

Revolutionary Industry --And Helped Level The Playing

Field In Business & Sports For Millions Of Girls & Women

““The sports bra was and is more than a piece of sporting equipment, it has become a symbol and a vehicle for women and girls to propel themselves forward without inhibition towards the future that they are creating. Prior to its inception, the concept of women running, jumping, lifting, competing, basically moving dynamically, caused reticence. NOW, WE RUN AND MOVE in every athletic space and then some. To say I don’t think about my sports bra anymore is to say that I am FREE to accomplish and go after anything I want. I am EMPOWERED TO EMBRACE OPPORTUNITY!”

-- Brandi Chastain, American retired soccer player, two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion, two-time Olympic gold-medalist, coach, and sports broadcaster

“The introduction of the sports bra did more than improve athletic performance. It represented a revolution in ready-to-wear clothing, and for many women athletes – past, present, and future – it actually made sports possible.”

--Smithsonian Museum of American History Archivist Cathy Keen

As an aspiring artist, part-time secretary, and part-time undergrad student at the age of 28, Lisa Z. Lindahl, a person with Epilepsy, was an unlikely candidate to create a sports garment that would reshape the athletic landscape and become a 19 billion-dollar annual industry. Her new book reveals the amazing story behind the creation of the sports bra, an entrepreneurial victory that has landed her in The National Inventors Hall of Fame (the induction ceremony is May, 2020).

Unleash the Girls:  The Untold Story of the Invention of the Sports Bra and How it Changed The World (and Me) takes us back to 1977 when women, whether they wanted to go to the gym, compete in sports, or jog (as Lisa did), had no protection against bouncing, chafing, sweaty breasts. After casually talking to her sister about the need for such a bra, she went to her good friend, Polly, who later became an award-winning Muppets costume designer, about the need for an athletic bra. Lisa was determined to set out to find a better way to protect her body.

Lisa’s story takes us through the many challenges, ups and downs, and successes of launching a business by women for women in an era and an industry dominated by men. She not only shares “learn from my mistakes” advice, she also provides encouragement to anyone looking to turn an idea into a business.  Lisa’s story is brutally honest and reveals how she navigated – and sometimes fell into – the many pitfalls faced by female entrepreneurs in an industry that had ignored the needs of women.

What Lisa initially thought might be a small mail-order business took off like wild fire across the country.  She was suddenly thrust into a competitive business world dominated by men.  Her only formal business education consisted of a one-year program at the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. She didn’t even drive a car (due to her Epilepsy).  She certainly seemed an unlikely candidate to become a successful business story and an agent of change.

Lisa is available to discuss:

  • How the first sports bra was crafted out of a men’s jock strap – and how it evolved.
  • How her invention revolutionized not only women’s athletics, but Feminism..
  • How she managed a company with millions in annual revenue, while living with Epilepsy.
  • How she lost control of the company she founded – and gained it back.
  • How women and entrepreneurs can help other women succeed in business.
  • How an idea can be worth millions --but only if you act on it.
  • How to handle the constant anxiety and stress of dealing with the unknowns of an expanding business in a changing marketplace.
  • Knowing when it’s time to sell your company.
  • How/why a bra serves as a feminist icon
  • Partnerships: the good, the bad -- and the ugly?

“Women’s stories need to be told – their true stories, not the fairy tales or fame-glam stereotypes or strident melodramas still too prevalent today,” writes Lisa.  “In these times more than ever, the real stories of real women need to be told by the women who lived them. My story about inventing the sports bra is one such story.”

The 1970s saw women coming into their own, working hard to create new roles at home and in sports, culture, politics, and business. It was also the start of the fitness revolution. At this unique intersection of feminism and athleticism, Lisa’s game-changing entrepreneurial journey began.

She invented the “Jogbra” 43 years ago, the first sports bra. It was the right product at the right time, throwing Lisa into a high-stakes world of business and power – a world for which she was not fully prepared.

Unleash the Girls is the improbable story of how she used her powers of creativity to solve a vexing problem and ended up leveling the playing field for girls and women across the globe – literally, unleashing the girls.

TALKS ABOUT TOURING WITH THE BEATLES

Don Dannemann and Mike Losekamp, two original members of the 60’s pop music group The Cyrkle, best known for the hit songs Red Rubber Ball and Turn Down Day, have reunited, added a few new members, and reinvented themselves around the 50th anniversary of the band’s success.

Named The Cyrkle by John Lennon himself and managed by none other than Brian Epstein, they were The Beatles opening act on 18 tour dates including August 23, 1966 at Shea Stadium, and August 29, 1966, for The Beatles’ famous final concert at Candlestick Park.

In 1966, the band released two Billboard hit songs. “Red Rubber Ball” went gold, selling over one million copies.  The follow up single, “Turn Down Day” was a solid hit as well, becoming their second Top 20 song of the year.

Coupling extraordinary musical talent and classic hit songs, The Cyrkle promises to electrify fans today just as they did when they were the opening act for The Beatles!

PRESENTS

"Mornings with Papa Tom Chapin and the Chapin Sisters."

EXCLUSIVE ON INTERVIEWING THE LEGENDS

Three-time Grammy winner Tom Chapin and his daughters Abigail and Lily, aka the Chapin Sisters, offer 30 minutes' worth of kid-friendly music with "Mornings with Papa Tom Chapin and the Chapin Sisters." The show streams daily weekday mornings at 11:00AM EDST on Facebook and Instagram. All episodes are archived on YouTube

Quarantined together in the elder Chapin's Hudson Valley home, the three Chapin’s stream live from his living room, performing songs from Tom's thirteen classic albums of Children's Music as well as classics from the American Folk Music canon. The show provides lighthearted but intelligent entertainment for all generations, a perfect opportunity for families to gather and enjoy each other's company.

"I wanted to keep busy," adds Tom, "and share these songs that I've written with my amazing collaborators over the last 30 years. I've been a working touring musician for more than half a century, and being stuck at home is uncharted territory, but as always the music and a chance to sing with my daughters keeps me sane, healthy and happy."

Tom Chapin has carved out two parallel careers in folk music - as a gifted folk-based singer/songwriter as well as "the Pied Piper" of family music. He started singing and playing guitar in a trio with his musical brothers Harry and Steve, inspired by the recording "The Weavers at Carnegie Hall." Tom released his first solo work in 1976.  Since then he's released 25 more and given thousands of live performances, including innumerable benefit concerts. He's appeared frequently on TV and radio, in documentary and feature films, and is a beloved narrator of children's books.

Tom is a long-time board member of WhyHunger, which seeks innovative "community-based solutions to hunger & poverty," remains active in a variety of environmental causes, and is a strong voice on behalf of music and the arts in our public schools.

Raised in New York's Hudson Valley, the Chapin Sisters are third generation musicians: their grandfather was the jazz drummer Jim Chapin, their uncle the late folk icon/humanitarian Harry Chapin, Tom's brother. They started singing professionally at ages 6 and 8. Soon after, they began performing live at the annual concerts for Harry Chapin's food justice organization Why Hunger.

In 2004, after relocating to Los Angeles on a whim, they recorded a couple songs with their half-sister Jessica. A friend passed their demo onto KCRW and almost instantly their dark, moody cover of Britney Spears's Toxic became one of the most requested songs at the station.

In the last decade, the Chapin Sisters have released 4 full-length albums. They've been featured on NPR's Weekend Edition, in Rolling Stone, Nylon, Spin, Paper, The New York Times, T Magazine, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post and have toured the world multiple times on their own and twice as members of She & Him's band. After taking some time off to savor the joys of becoming first time mothers, they wrote, recorded and released their most recent EP Ferry Boat.

In the year 1970, four young musicians from the South Bay of Los Angeles, came together to create a new invigorating style of music.

Exploring the possibilities of progressive, classical and world influences, yet rooted with the soul of the blues and R&B, Joseph Puerta, Christopher North, David Pack and Burleigh Drummond created a new sound that was defined and recognized as “Ambrosia”.

Originally labeled as America’s answer to the progressive invasion of such English acts as “Yes” and “King Crimson”, the group quickly proved it was all that and much more as it’s albums painted aural landscapes covering the gamut of musical styles and attracting the collaboration of such cultural icons as, Leonard Bernstein, Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and Alan Parsons.

In it’s brief recording history, Ambrosia garnered 5 Grammy Nominations, 5 Hit Singles, Heavy FM Airplay and the admiration and respect of the musical community.  All this was in addition to Sold Out concerts around the world.

Today, the band is more alive and compelling than ever.  With three of the original members in tact plus the addition of guitar ace Doug Jackson on electric guitar and backing vocals, Mary Harris contributing amazing keyboards and vocals, and the powerful and contemporary lead vocals and acoustic guitar of Ken Stacey…Ambrosia is exploring new musical territory and continuing to wow life-long fans and new converts alike!
