Guest Biography:

BIO FROM: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynn_Picknett

Born in Folkestone, Kent, England in April 1947, Picknett grew up in a haunted house in York, attending Park Grove Junior School and Queen Anne Grammar School. After graduating from university with an Upper 2nd (hons) degree in English Literature, she briefly became a teacher, a shop assistant, and a stand-up comic before moving to London in 1971 to join Marshall Cavendish Publications as a trainee sub-editor.

In the 1980s, she was Deputy Editor on The Unexplained and contributor to many other publications. She was also a regular contributor on various radio shows, including Michael van Straten and Clive Bull's on LBC and Talk Radio. She was also a television presenter for both Anglia and Southern TV.

In 1990 she was guest curator for the Royal Photographic Society's exhibition The Unexplained at Bath, performing the same function in 1999 for the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television at Bradford.

In the early 1990s, she teamed up with fellow researcher and writer Clive Prince. Their first book, Turin Shroud: How Leonardo da Vinci Fooled History was the first mainstream work to reveal how all the so-called miraculous characteristics of the Turin Shroud could easily be reproduced only using a pinhole camera (camera obscura), and argued that Leonardo da Vinci not only faked it, but used his own face for the model of Jesus'.

Their 1997 The Templar Revelation was credited by Dan Brown, both in The Da Vinci Code and in the 2006 court-case (Baigent & Leigh v. RandomHouse), as the main inspiration for his novel.

Between 1999 and his death in 2003, she and Clive Prince worked with Stephen Prior, described in book blurb as "a historian specialising in intelligence matters".

Picknett and Prince perform most of the research for their books themselves, though they are sometimes helped by several friends and fellow researchers. They have credited Keith Prince as a main contributor for their work on the Turin Shroud, Philip Coppens in The Stargate Conspiracy, and Robert Brydon for their work on Rudolf Hess.

She nurtures her interest in the paranormal through her membership of The Ghost Club.

Picknett, as well as Prince, makes a brief appearance in the film The Da Vinci Code. The pair appear on a London bus as the protagonists are traveling to the Temple Church in London. Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) leaves his seat to join Sophie (Audrey Tautou) at the back of the bus, and Picknett and Prince are seen sitting on the left.

Bill Henderson, Alternative Cancer Treatment Researcher, Writer, Author, Talk Radio Show Host, Reporter, Cancer Coach, Air Force Retired Colonel and Entrepreneur
Guest Occupation: Alternative Cancer Treatment Researcher, Writer, Author, Talk Radio Show Host, Reporter, Cancer Coach, Air Force Retired Colonel, Entrepreneur
Guest Biography:

Hi. My name is Bill Henderson. In November 1990, my late wife, Marjorie, began her four-year bout with ovarian cancer. She died on November 1, 1994. Her many operations, chemotherapy treatments and intense pain made her wish often in her last two years for a quick death, or "transition," as she called it.

After watching that, it was hard for me to believe that millions of people each year had to endure that same torture. I now believe that the treatment she received was the cause of her death, not the cancer.

I have read widely in the ensuing years, searching for alternative cancer treatments. I have found over four hundred.

My first book "Cure Your Cancer" was the result of my search. First published as an e-book in November, 2000, it quickly became read all over the world, thanks to the power of the Internet. Readers in 86 countries have used the information in that book to become cancer-free. It was also published as a paperback and hard cover book in July 2003. My newer book "Cancer-Free" was first published as an e-book and paperback in November, 2004. The same "Cancer-Free" book [offered at this web site] is a Fourth Edition of this book. It contains all the information I have learned in the seven years since the First Edition was published.

By publishing an Internet newsletter for eleven years to over 34,000 readers, I have built a vast network of cancer doctors, nurses, cancer survivors and cancer crusaders like me. These wonderful people give me daily feedback on what works for them and new discoveries they make.

In fact, one of the holistic physicians who has healed lots of cancer patients has agreed to become the co-author of the latest edition of my book. We are close friends and believe in the same principles about healing cancer. His name is Dr. Carlos M. Garcia, M.D.

You can now listen to my web talk radio show called "How to Live Cancer-Free." Every week, I interview experts and cover new topics related to cancer prevention and healing. There you will be able to listen to my current hour-long show or listen to or download any of my previous shows.

I am not a medical professional, just a "reporter." However, I have been able to exchange information among my readers, put them in touch with each other and with doctors, clinics, web sites and other resources. I am proud that I have been able to provide them with much-needed confidence and helped over eight thousand of them become cancer-free. I will gladly perform the same service for you or your loved one. You will find information about my telephone "coaching" service for cancer patients at the Coaching page of this web site.

My aim with the book, the radio show, the monthly newsletter and the coaching service is to arm you with information. You do not need to be a victim of the "system," as Marjorie was. The power of the Internet will allow you to co-doctor intelligently with the knowledge I give you. I will even show you how to find a doctor and dentist who are sympathetic with your quest for a gentle, non-toxic therapy with NO side effects.

My passion is to help many more people work around the obstacles of the medical "system" and conquer their cancer.

My background is in computer software and marketing. After retiring from the Air Force as a Colonel in 1977, I founded a software company that sold specialized software to architects and engineers. It was the first of its kind in the world. We had clients in 42 states and 4 Canadian provinces. I sold that company in 1995.

In addition to my medical research, I tried several Internet ventures, with some success, from 1998 to 2001. I have a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University.

My wife and I live in San Antonio, Texas. I have nine great-grandchildren, most of whom live in Michigan. My full-time job now is helping cancer patients like you or your loved one become cancer-free. It is purely a "labor of love."

To your health!!

Bill Henderson

Guest Occupation: Artist, Writer, Reflexologist, Shiatsu Therapist, Aromatherapist, Healer, Author
Guest Biography:

Lynda Cookson from the west of Ireland ran her own clinic for 5 years prior to being forced to change careers in 1992 to that of an artist and writer because of severe back pain. Lynda is a certified reflexologist, a namikoshi shiatsu therapist, an aromatherapist, and studied iridology, ayurvedic healing and acupuncture. Since changing her career she has become an accomplished artist and writer having sold works in the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Namibia, the United States, Canada, France, Spain, Dominican Republic and Malaysia. Her paintings are part of permanent collections, have been auctioned, and collected throughout Ireland. Her most recent publication is a book titled Tea’n Turps published in 2009 that takes a humorous look at the lives of 12 well-established artists living and working in Ireland.

My home is in the depths of Connemara where the sun sets on the mountains behind me and I gaze out, over bogland hills, to the soft evening light catching the mountainsides across the valley. There are only about 300 folk living in the valley. Two Connemara ponies munch away in the field opposite our house, and they're often joined by a couple of rather bold and raucous donkeys. I'm not necessarily a landscape painter, but the tranquility and beauty of my studio surroundings gives me the creative space and inspiration to paint.

My philosophy simply put, is that I concentrate on capturing the living energy of my subject, working on creating a sense of freedom within constraint. I am conscious of the masks of protection and the layers of learning that people develop and build up through their lives, learning how to disguise their true selves and how to live comfortably with their masks and layers. Scratch the surface, delve deeper into ourselves, and we find we all have so much more inside of us than the world sees. Creatively, nothing excites me more than to look closely at a painting and be able to identify the layers of colour which have been laid down to build up the final picture.

So whether I am working on an abstract, or a contemporary horse painting, even a flower arrangement, the painting is built up with layers of mostly pure colour, sometimes mixing on the canvas and other times sitting next to each other to create a vibrancy in their pairing.

Colour, a sense of energy, and vibrancy are all very important to me.

Guest Occupation: Educator, Yoga Instructor, Physical Therapist, Writer, Health Care Activist, Columnist
Guest Biography:

Ginger Garner MPT, ATC - is an educator in medical therapeutic yoga and a physical therapist in integrative rehabilitation. Her fields of focus include orthopaedics, chronic pain, and women’s health.  Ginger is an activist for improving health care in America and reaches her audience through her popular columns, Breathing In This Life, Fit and Fearless Birth on Modern Mom, Yang-Sheng Magazine, Caring Economy, and her publications in medical therapeutic yoga.

Ginger has written more than 30 programs and a 4 volume text standardizing the use of yoga in integrative medicine and rehabilitation through her program Professional Yoga Therapy. Her undergraduate to post-graduate & medical continuing education programs were a first in healthcare when she founded the program in 2001.  Her most recent project is developing the first US based distance education program in medical therapeutic yoga (2010-2012) now offered in partnership with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and other national organizations. Ginger credits her work in multiple settings, such as outpatient orthopaedics, women’s health, inpatient, wound care, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, obstetric therapies, home health, as well as her studies and performance in music and sound, with developing her methodology in using yoga as medicine.

Founder of Professional Yoga Therapy – A Grassroots Movement in Evidence Based Yoga Education to Improve Health Care In America

During her graduate studies in physical therapy and public health at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, almost 20 years ago, Ginger developed her original mission for the first education program in medical yoga, out of what she perceived as a great disconnect in American health care.  Professional Yoga Therapy (PYT) was born out of the vision to see eastern and western medicine yoked to offer more comprehensive health care for both the healthy and complex American patient. Today, PYT offers a working model for educational standards in medical yoga education and integrative health care delivery in the US.

Ginger has trained hundreds of medical professionals across North America over the last decade in using yoga and Pilates in Complementary and Alternative Medicine; while at the same time working to raise awareness and funds for improving women’s health.  As a result, graduates from the PYT program have created or taken jobs as integrative rehabilitation supervisors in hospital systems, clinics, and non-traditional settings in nursing, medicine, as well as therapy.
