Guest Occupation: American singer/songwriter, recording artist, actress, and anti-bullying activist.
Guest Biography:

LIZZIE SIDER

Seen as a guest performer on The Queen Latifah Show, Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family and Entertainment Tonight, Lizzie Sider is an American singer/songwriter, recording artist, actress, and anti-bullying activist. Lizzie’s tracks, “Butterfly” and “I Love You That Much,” landed in the Top 40 on the Nashville charts, and one of her most recent releases, “Summer Love Song,” opened the 2016 Hallmark Channel Original Movie, “A Time To Dance,” starring Jennie Garth. Whether it’s performing with Peter Yarrow (Peter, Paul and Mary), Aaron Tippin or Jamie O’Neal, or playing character roles in live musical theater productions such as Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Martha) or The Ballad of Cat Ballou (Cat), it seems that the stage is Lizzie’s second home.

However, Lizzie’s most important venture has been her anti-bullying advocacy. Bullied as a young girl for years, Lizzie would come home in tears, most of her school days. Through her parents’ love and her father’s words of “nobody has the power to ruin your day,” Lizzie grabbed ahold of her inner strength and let it lead her through the bullying. She became stronger because of it, and has made it a mission in her life to help others harness their own inner strength and beauty, and spread their wings, like a Butterfly.

Lizzie is Founder of Nobody Has The Power To Ruin Your Day, a non-profit organization for anti-bullying. Her current reach is over 7,000 schools worldwide (representing over 5 million students).

Guest Biography:

EDDIE MULLER is a second generation San Franciscan, product of a lousy public school education, a couple of crazy years in art school, and too much time in newspaper offices and sporting arenas. No college, but he's compensated by always hanging around smarter people, an effortless feat typically accomplished in bars.

Despite repeated warnings, he followed in his father's footsteps, earning a living as a print journalist for sixteen years. No scoops, no big prizes, but he left behind a thoroughly abused expense account that got him into (and out of) various intriguing parts of the world.

His career as an ink-stained fourth estate wretch sidetracked Muller's early goal of becoming a filmmaker. A stint in George Kuchar's notorious "narrative filmmaking" class at the San Francisco Art Institute in the late 1970s resulted in the creation of a 14-minute, 16mm hommage to Raymond Chandler called Bay City Blues, one of five national finalists for the 1979 Student Academy Award. He also appeared as an actor in several Kuchar movies of the period.

Since 1998 Muller has devoted himself full-time to projects that pique his interest, ranging from the creation of a Historical Boxing Museum, to a fully illustrated history of Adults Only movies, to acting as co-writer and -producer of one of the first completely digital theatrical documentaries, Mau Mau Sex Sex. He created his own graphics firm, St. Francis Studio, which enables him to design, as well as write, his non-fiction books. He has achieved much acclaim for his three books on film noir, earning the nickname "The Czar of Noir."

His father, the original Eddie Muller (he's not a junior— long story, don't ask), was a renown sportswriter for the San Francisco Examiner who earned the nickname "Mr. Boxing" during his 52-year run. The senior Muller served as inspiration for the character of Billy Nichols, the protagonist of the younger Muller's two critically acclaimed novels, The Distance (2002) and Shadow Boxer (2003).

Eddie lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, Kathleen Maria Milne.

EXTRAORDINARY DRUMMER

WITH

THE TUBES & TODD RUNDGREN

AND

ACCOMPLISHED GRAPHIC ARTIST

During the course of 40+ years, while continuing to record, perform and tour the world with The Tubes (15 albums and world tours) Prairie Prince performed and recorded with many of his heroes and fellow artists alike, and fulfilled many desires to execute various drum techniques in a wide variety of musical styles.

In the early 70’s Prairie worked with legendary pianist, Nicky Hopkins, recording two albums with musicians such as George Harrison, Mick Taylor, Ron Wood, Ray Cooper and Klaus Voormann, among others. Prince started the band Journey with Neal Schon and Gregg Rollie shortly after and recorded the demos that got them their first contract. Prince opted not to join the band on a permanent basis for his dedication in The Tubes. After session work with Tommy Bolin, Brewer and Shipley and others in the 70’s, the 80s’ brought work with Chris Isaak and he played drums on his first four albums.

Prince was honored to record with Brian Eno and David Byrne on the innovative album “My Life in a Bush of Ghosts” in the early 80s. Prince worked extensively with Todd Rundgren recording 7 albums and touring the world with him several times. He played drums on XTC’s “Skylarking” LP in the mid-80s, then again on their 2 CDs “Apple-Venus Vol I” & “WaspStar Vol 2” which was released in 2000. Also, in the 80’s Prince recorded with Glen Frey, David Pack, three albums for Richard Marx and taped a Showtime Special with John Fogerty.

The 90’s brought live performances with Tom Waits. Prairie was the drummer on legendary “King of the Surf Guitar” Dick Dale’s 3 CDs. Then Prince became the full-time drummer for the re-formed “Jefferson Starship” featuring original members Paul Kantner, Marty Balin, Jack Casady and Papa John Creach. After 4 CDs and several world tours he bowed out as their full-time drummer in 1998 but continued to perform as their international gig drummer.

In 2006 Prince toured with The New Cars featuring Todd Rundgren as the lead singer, bassist Kasim Sulton, and original The Cars guitarist Elliot Easton and keyboardist Greg Hawkes.

Prince continues to perform and tour with The Tubes and Todd Rundgren.

VISUAL ART
Visual Art has always been a huge component In Prairie’s life. He’s painted murals, designed stage sets and have a thriving business creating custom finishes on drums, guitars, motorcycles and vehicles.

Early in his career he teamed up with Michael Cotten (former Tubes member) to create Cotten/Prince, an artistic design partnership. They combined their art expertise and worked with The Tubes choreographer Kenny Ortega (Dirty Dancing, High School Musical) to collaborate as the artistic team responsible for devising the production design and theatrical staging for The Tubes live shows and videos. They also designed the album covers and graphic design for the band.

They also came up with a style and air-brush technique which allowed us to design and paint some of the world’s largest murals.

One of their most famous murals was the “Flying Records” on the exterior of the A&M Records building in Hollywood, Ca. The mural’s demise was mourned by many in the music community, Jerry Moss, founder of A & M Records. The destruction of the mural was documented in a 2012 NPR interview.

Other iconic murals include “Crashing Waves” on San Francisco’s Cliff House and the interior of The Chemical Bank of New York at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Their artistic vision and ability to produce innovative and artistic projects led to working for the world’s top live performers, high-end retailers and companies around the world.

Working with longtime collaborator Kenny Ortega they created set and stage design for some of the world’s biggest musical touring acts (Michael Jackson, Shania Twain, Bonnie Raitt, Gloria Estefan, Bette Midler, The Tubes and Todd Rundgren).

They also collaborated on the Closing Ceremonies of the 1996 Olympic Games and the Super Bowl XXX Half-Time Show, starring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson’s 1997 “History” tour and “This Is It.”

They also painted murals across the United States for companies including Macy’s (Federated Dept. Stores) and The Limited. Also painting murals and interiors for international clients in Spain, England, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Sweden and Japan. Other major mural commissions include grand scale interiors at the Ho-Chunk Casino and the Potawatomi Casino in Wisconsin.

Prince continues to design and paint murals and custom interiors in private residences across the country.

BLUES GUITAR WHIZ

SPECIAL GUEST ON THE RAY SHASHO SHOW

Eddie Turner has done just about everything. A guitarist since age 12, he honed his skills alongside San Francisco's legendary Tracy Nelson & Mother Earth in the '70s and Denver's hard-hitting Zephyr in the '80s, before becoming a founding member of the Otis Taylor Band in the '90s and then earning a prestigious Blues Music Award nomination for his own solo career in the mid-2000s.

The Denver-based guitarist, singer and bandleader has toured the world, garnering countless fans and an outpouring of critical acclaim in the process.

But "Naked ... In Your Face" marks a first for Turner, who has never before released an in-concert recording. The title tells you all you need to know: No shrinking violet of a live album, this varied, vibrant set finds the musician at his most stylistically audacious, crossing boundaries with the same brazen confidence he's shown throughout his career. Recorded last August at The Blues Can in Calgary, Alberta, during a tour of Canada and the western United States, the album features Turner in a power-trio format. Joining him are bassist Anna Lisa Hughes, a fellow Denver resident who sings lead on several cuts here, including covers of classics such as "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and "Buried Alive in the Blues" as well as her original composition "Mistreated," and drummer Kelly Kruse, an in-demand sideman in Canada who also plays guitar with Calgary's Adele & the Krusers.

"I still get emails saying, 'That was one of the best bands I've ever seen. When are you going to tour again?'" says Turner. "And I loved the way Anna Lisa's voice and mine meshed together. The three of us came together and threw all our influences into a pot, ending up with something that's completely different. I wanted to record songs that, without this particular band, I'll probably never do again."

Fitting for a man who grew up outside of Chicago watching iconic blues figures such as Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf ply their trade -- but also seeing acts like Jimi Hendrix and Cream take the music to new, more rock-influenced directions -- Turner has developed a sound that's informed by tradition yet adventurous enough to not be limited by it. As the man himself puts it, "If you want to be a purist, be one not because you started there and stopped there. Be one because you went everywhere else and decided to come back. Because no music is truly pure. Everything has a little dirt in it."

Eddie proudly endorses

FROM A CLASSIC HIT

"ESCAPE (THE PIÑA COLADA SONG)"

TO A 21ST CENTURY RENAISSANCE MAN

Called “an American treasure” by the Los Angeles Times, “brilliant” by the London Times, “a comic genius” by Kirkus Reviews and “a true Renaissance man” by Newsweek, CBS Sunday Morning, Playbill magazine and scores of other publications and websites…mystery novelist-playwright-composer-arranger-screenwriter-conductor-singer-songwriter Rupert Holmes is the first person in theatrical history to solely win Tony® awards as an author, a composer and a lyricist. His second Random House novel, Swing, reached #24 among all books at Amazon, and was the first novel to come with an original CD musical score. His short stories have been anthologized in such prestigious collections as Best American Mystery Stories and On a Raven’s Wing.

In December of 2014, ASCAP presented Rupert Holmes with its prestigious “George M. Cohan Award” acknowledging the diversity and depth of his career as a composer, lyricist, playwright, and novelist.

For TV, Holmes created, wrote and scored all four seasons of the critically hailed AMC series “Remember WENN,” commemorated on its tenth anniversary by a cover piece in the Arts & Leisure section of The New York Times.

He has arranged, conducted and written platinum recordings for Barbra Streisand, including her classic Lazy Afternoon album and his songs for the Golden Globe-winning, quadruple Platinum Billboard #1 LP score of A Star is Born. As a pop tunesmith, his work has been recorded by the leading vocalists of our time, from opera star Renée Fleming to pop star Britney Spears, from balladeer Barry Manilow to rapper Wyclef.  Yet despite all the above, Holmes is still best known to the public as the singer-songwriter of several Billboard Top Ten hits, including his #1  multi‑platinum smash “Escape” aka “The Pina Colada Song”…heard in such recent films as Guardians of the Galaxy, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Grownups, Bewitched, Wanted with Angelina Jolie, The Sweetest Thing, Shrek, the TV shows “Las Vegas,” “True Blood,” and most recently performed by Jimmy Fallon and Blake Shelton with The Legendary Roots.

In the mid-seventies, while recording three new albums (the eponymous Rupert Holmes, Singles, and Pursuit of Happiness) Holmes also produced recordings by several major British rock bands, “in part to catch all the plays and musicals running in London’s West End each season,” he admits. The results of this were two major U.K. pop hits of 1976: “A Glass of Champagne” (with Holmes playing its trademark piano riff) and “Girls, Girls, Girls” (a “Benny Hill” standard) both performed by the band Sailor and co‑produced with Emmy award-winning Jeffrey Lesser.

Holmes went on to arrange and produce the talented Brit rocker John Miles, resulting in the albums Stranger in the City and Zaragon and the single “Slow Down” a #2 dance hit on the US Billbard Disco charts featuring a memorable orchestration by Holmes. Other acts in Holmes’ producing repertoire at this time were the glam-rock band Sparks, the classic art rock band Strawbs and British pop singer-songwriter Lynsey de Paul.

In 1979 and 1980, with the release of his fifth album Partners in Crime (RIAA certified platinum), Holmes at last topped the Billboard charts as a singer, songwriter, arranger and producer with his now-iconic hit “Escape (The Pina Colada Song),” which went to number one in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Japan.  Holmes followed “Escape” with the Billboard #6 single “Him” and also penned the ballad “You Got It All Over Him” for The Jets, a record which simultaneously topped Billboard’s Top 40, R&B and Adult-Contemporary charts in the number 1, 2 and 3 slots.

In 2015, he performed for at the Library of Congress in concert with Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen, Natalie Merchant, rapper Ne-Yo and John Legend.

With the new millennium, Holmes added novel writing to his repertoire. His critically-acclaimed mystery, Where the Truth Lies, was a Booklist Top Ten Debut Novel; his second, Swing, was a San Francisco Chronicle Top Ten Best Seller, called “imaginative, smart, sophisticated and impressively elaborate” by Janet Maslin of the New York Times. His short stories have been anthologized in such prestigious collections as Best American Mystery Stories, On a Raven’s Wing, A Merry Band of Murderers and Christmas at the Mysterious Bookshop. He was also commissioned by The New York Times to write the Arts and Leisure tribute celebrating the one hundredth birthday of Irving Berlin. Holmes is currently finishing the first entry in a new fictional mystery series for Simon and Schuster.

Holmes is currently completing the first book in a new series for Simon and Schuster: The McMasters Guide to Homicide: Murder Your Employer Linda Hodges

CHANGING MODERN HEALTHCARE: THE Physics Of Wellness Academy

Our Team worked together for 35 years to finally make public our theory of Collecting Energy.  It all started with injury to a child by a vaccination in 1974.  The effort took many forms before the first big step forward in research when, in the early 2000's, the first graph was generated by our technology (see aside).

Never before had anyone recorded the electromagnetic energy levels of the human being!  Physics is the study of energy.  Medicine has been obsessed with chemistry for its entire history.  Founder, Jeff Lacour, realized that chemistry is built on the foundational science of physics. In his search for the key to immunity, having pursued every lead in chemical medicine, he began a study of bio-physics.  The graph you see at the right margin is one of the first examples of tracking energy levels in a human.  Many, many tests later, the conclusion was overwhelming: no one was maintaining a stable level of energy, no one was looking at this foundational marker of health and immunity and, certainly, no one knew what total body energy levels are supposed to be.

Later came more sophisticated methods for seeing and analyzing energy levels using infrared technology.

15 years later, the Academy is rolling out its theory of Wellness/Immunity based on physics.  People will be able, with this information, to by-pass the entire medical  juggernaut and defend themselves from premature aging & body break-down. Moreover, by following the dictates of the Handbook, people can live in a constant state of immunity!

Guest Occupation: Sangoma Traditional Healer, Priestess, and Medicine Woman
Guest Biography:

GOGO THULE

Gogo Thule Ngane is a Sangoma Traditional Healer, Priestess, and Medicine Woman. She is guided by the Amadlozi, Elevated Ancestors of her lineage. Her work includes divination, traditional healing, and leads workshops, ceremonies, and retreats on ancient African healing and spirituality. She is devoted to awakening ancestral wisdom on the earth.

We have all come through challenging or traumatic experiences, emotions, and relationships but no matter what face struggle takes, I have found that the only way to true liberation is by cultivating a deep relationship with yourself, honoring your natural rhythms, desires & passions, and aligning with tools and practices that invoke and awaken your power.

At a very low point of my life, my greatest transformation came through uncovering truth, healing, and power from addressing the needs of my spirit head on.

It all started with a profound feeling of being lost, depression, and need to throw everything I was taught out the window in order to start over. I needed to re-examine myself and the world to make sure that what I believe and live by comes from my heart, my own experience, and true connection to spirit — not just what I had been taught by others. I wanted to heal from the pain and struggles that come with not truly feeling and knowing who we are. I deeply felt like something was missing but didn’t have the words to name it. So, I questioned, I searched, and I wandered.

In 2011, I discovered that in my bloodline there were healers and that the torch was being handed to me…I was being called to learn the ancient ways of my ancestors.

My lineage is that of the Sangoma Traditional Healers of South Africa. A sangoma is able to heal and lead people under the guidance of elevated ancestral spirits. We are seers, medicine women/men, & spiritual warriors.

I found home and healing in practicing the ancient ways of my ancestors, in nature, in natural & holistic methods as well as in freeing my mind and life from destructive mindsets and patterns.

Many of the ancient ways, texts, & wisdom have been hidden, destroyed and re-purposed but it still lives in our blood and bones waiting to re-awaken.

I found medicine for the soul and my mission is to use this medicine to uplift, heal, & empower.

JACQUELINE FUENTES

Jacqueline Fuentes is a chilean singer songwriter. Her musical creation has South American roots, containing colors and structures that come from classical music as well as a combination of folkloric and popular music. Her inspirations have been Mercedes Sosa, Victor Jara, Violeta Parra, Milton Nascimento, Silvio Rodriguez and Joni Mitchell.

When she was just 15 years old, she began her career as the lead singer of the group Chamal en Chiloe. Years later she enrolls at the Conservatorio Nacional at the University of Chile where she studied lyrical song with her teacher Carmen Luisa Letelier. Later on she joined the Ballet Folclorico nacional as a singer and an instrumentalist, touring in different parts of the world. In 1995 she makes her home in Los Angeles, CA where she realizes her musical goal as a well- known representative of Latin music.

Jacqueline Fuentes work appears on the soundtrack for the film “All Inclusive” (2008), a Chilean/Mexican production, directed by Rodrigo Ortuzar. One of her compositions is also a part of the record “Women of Latin America” of Putumayo Records. Also joining her on that record are other songwriters such as Lila Downs and Lasha de Sela.

She was invited to participate in the world commemoration of Human Rights in Washingtion D.C. She has performed in festivals such as “Of Peace”, World Festival of Sacred Music in Los Angeles, CA, as well as on innumerable stages in this city, the heart of world music. She also participated in “The Berkeley Arts Festival”.

Every summer Jacqueline tours along the Pacific Coast performing in different places and she has gone all the way to NYC where she shared her music at the famous CBCG Club.

She has edited two records in the U.S.A., ‘’Diez Sonetos de Amor” and “Amo la Vida”. She is currently working on a children’s album, which contain messages of love and the preservation of the environment. What’s more she is currently editing her third musical production, whose title will be “Invisible Threads”.

Jacqueline recently represented Chile in the project “Playing for Change”, an initiative backed by the United Nations in which musicians from all over the world shared a song containing messages of world unity. At the end of March of 2012, Jacqueline has been invited to the “Bali Spirit Festival” in Indonesia, one of the most important World Music Festival.

“Jacqueline Fuentes is an intense experience: A fusion of love, awareness and revolution.
Audiences are mesmerized by the power of her voice and the beauty of her lyrics.

Raised on the romantic sounds of her father’s popular radio broadcasts, Jacqueline made her debut at the age of fourteen with the National Folklore Ballet of Chile, performing solo before an audience of thousands at the prestigous Vina Del Mar festival.

The volatile political injustices of her native Chile, culminating with the 1973 coup d’etat, gave a voice to folk music and the plight of the people it represented. Jacqueline was heavily influenced by this movement and by such great artists as Mercedes Sosa and Violeta Parra, not only for the beauty of their music but how it had the power to move so many people. Crossing the boundaries of language, religion, and geography thier music formed a collective of inspiration and solidarity.”
