The head of the Order of the Mayan Lords and keeper of the Popol Vjuh or Mayan Book of Creation, Don Tomas Calvo led a delegation yesterday of Mayan elders to the United Nations, where they performed a special ceremony and addressed indigenous people and members of the U.N. Security Council from Guatemala in observance of U.N. Day.

Calvo told members of the United Nations: "I bring the knowledge of my ancestors to the Earth that holds the thoughts of all those who believe another world is possible...To you, representatives of the peoples who share our planet daily, I bring the voice of my people on my way towards the end of a period of time we call Oxlajuj B'aqtun and before the opening of a new era which we enter with joy and harmony." Like many light workers, Stephanie Lodge didn’t find the light, the light found her. Stafford Betty, Ph.D., is an expert on afterlife studies and has been a professor of religious studies at California State University, Bakersfield, for almost forty years. Carlos Barrios is a Mayan priest, historian, anthropologist, researcher, and author of the Book of Destiny: Unlocking the Secrets of the Ancient Mayans and the Prophecy of 2012.  He is an expert in the Sacred Maya Calendar. 

Born in Guatemala, his home was in Huehuetenango, also the dwelling place of the Maya Mam tribe, known as the "keepers of time." As far back as I can remember I’ve been able to communicate with animals. When I realized that other people didn’t “do that”… that I was “different”… I blocked out my ability for many years. Holding conversations with my dog, Makeba and my horse, Magic saved my life, and I wanted to share that gift of communication with other people.

Most people come to me because they see a problem with their pet, like a dog that’s barely eating, or a horse that’s become very anxious. When I suggest that the problem may actually lie with the person, I usually get a surprised reaction. Animals often take on their person’s issues, and may manifest them in self-destructive behaviors.

I worked with a client recently whose dog was having terrible digestive problems, and the vet couldn’t figure out the cause. When I talked with the dog, she said her mouth was burning. She said she wanted her mother to stop drinking the “burning liquid”. My client began crying. She realized her drinking was hurting her dog, and she resolved to get help. Because my client couldn’t telepathically hear her, the dog began demonstrating concrete, visible symptoms.

As an animal communicator, I’ve heard many stories like this. Our animals trust us, and know us deeply. They want to help. I’ve helped hundreds of clients to understand their animals better, and strengthen this wonderful bond.

Most recently Steve was chosen to head the NSW Emergency Volunteer Canine Fire and Rescue Unit. This unit-the first of its kind in Australia will be deployed to help with recovery efforts during tsunamis, earthquakes, fires and floods.

Despite his typical Aussie larrikin nature or maybe because of it, Steve is often invited to lecture and help at zoos around the world. He’s also a regular at American Law Enforcement Agencies and was asked to train dogs in bomb detection at the Mount Everest Kennel Club in Kathmandu. Steve is a more of a steak and chips kind of guy but he trained the first ever truffle detector dogs.
