Guest Biography:

Robert Moss describes himself as a dream teacher, on a path for which there has been no career track in our culture. He is the creator of Active Dreaming, an original synthesis of dreamwork and shamanism. Born in Australia, he survived three near-death experiences in childhood. He leads popular seminars all over the world, including a three-year training for teachers of Active Dreaming. A former lecturer in ancient history at the Australian National University, he is a best-selling novelist, journalist and independent scholar. His nine books on dreaming, shamanism and imagination include Conscious Dreaming, Dreamways of the Iroquois, The Dreamer's Book of the Dead, The Three ""Only"" Things,The Secret History of Dreaming, Dreamgates, Active Dreaming and Dreaming the Soul Back Home: Shamanic Dreaming for Healing and Becoming Whole.

He identifies the great watershed in his adult life as a sequence of visionary events that unfolded in 1987-1988, after he decided to leave the world of big cities and the fast-track life of a popular novelist and put down roots on a farm in the upper Hudson Valley of New York. Moss started dreaming in a language he did not know that proved to be an archaic form of the Mohawk language. Helped by native speakers to interpret his dreams, Moss came to believe that they had put him in touch with an ancient healer, an arendiwanen or "woman of power" and that they were calling him to a different life.

Out of these experiences he wrote a series of historical novels (The Firekeeper, Fire Along the Sky, The Interpreter) and developed the practice he calls Active Dreaming, an original synthesis of contemporary dreamwork and shamanic methods of journeying and healing. A central premise of Moss's approach is that dreaming isn't just what happens during sleep; dreaming is waking up to sources of guidance, healing and creativity beyond the reach of the everyday mind.

He introduced his method to an international audience as an invited presenter at the conference of the International Association for the Study of Dreams at the University of Leiden in 1994.

Core techniques of Active Dreaming include

The “lightning dreamwork” process, designed to facilitate quick dream-sharing that results in helpful action; the use of the “if it were my dream” protocol encourages the understanding that the dreamer is always the final authority on his or her dream

Dream reentry: the practice of making a conscious journey back inside a dream in order to clarify information, dialogue with a dream character, or move beyond nightmare terrors into healing and resolution

Tracking and group dreaming: conscious dream travel on an agreed itinerary by two or more partners, often supported by shamanic drumming

Navigating by synchronicity: reading coincidence and “symbolic pop-ups” in ordinary life as “everyday oracles”.

Over the past 20 years, he has led seminars at the Esalen Institute, Kripalu, the Omega Institute, the New York Open Center, Bastyr University, John F. Kennedy University, Meriter Hospital, and many other centers and institutions. He has taught depth workshops in Active Dreaming in the UK, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Brazil and Austria and leads a three-year training for teachers of Active Dreaming. He hosts the ""Way of the Dreamer"" radio show at www.healthylife.net.

He has appeared on many TV and radio shows, ranging from Charlie Rose and the Today show to Coast to Coast and the Diane Rehm show on NPR. His articles on dreaming have been published in media ranging from Parade to Shaman's Drum.

Moss was a keynote speaker at the IASD world conference in Chicago in June 2009. He was keynote presenter at the East Coast conference of the Institute of Transpersonal Studies in October 2009 and the keynote speaker at the A.R.E.'s Easter conference in 2010. His books have been published in more than 20 foreign languages.

Guest Biography:

Michael was born in Glasgow, Scotland 1964. He gradually and painfully became aware of his calling as a shaman - healer following a series of near - death experiences in the late 1980's. The first of these involved an encounter with an Elemental (Sulfur) spirit in the far north of Scotland near Thurso (Thor's River.) A second occurred several years later in Edinburgh. The combination of these encounters with numerous others entirely destroyed his health. Michael began to experience visions, prolonged out of body and altered states of consciousness as well as intense physical pain. Managing his life on a daily basis became an impossible challenge. He was finally rescued by a friend who lived in a small cottage close to an incalculably ancient female Yew tree in the south east of Scotland. This marked the beginning of a 9 + year period of healing and the direct transmission of an initiation knowledge that took place under the vast enclosure of the tree. Michael believes that he was led to the Yew tree. He also believes that the Yew sent him to US to communicate its message. The Yew was once regarded by the indigenous and pre -Celtic shaman-healers (original Druids) as a great source of occult experiential knowledge holding the keys to an an ancient language of healing and rejuvenation. A brief account of Michael's experiences under the yew tree can be read in the book Soul Companions-Conversations with Contemporary Wisdom keepers. A Collection of Encounters with Spirit  by Karen Sawyer. He has also written for the shamanic journal Sacred Hoop and for the Journal of Shamanic Practice (article to appear in Spring 2013 issue.)  In 2009 Michael founded the Sacred Yew Institute. The institute offers a two-year professional training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy as well as a lecture series on the occult history of the Yew tree and workshops throughout US in Yewshamanism and The Essence of the Five Trees Teachings. Michael currently lives in rural Western Massachusetts.

Guest Biography:

I live, love and make beauty at FLOWERSONG - an exquisite orchard garden retreat sanctuary in north central Washington – in a quiet and sweet fruit-growing, ranching valley. FLOWERSONG is dedicated to the expression of love and light which supports the flowering of our two-legged family and All Our Relations.

Please note that I am making available for download some wonderful teachings and music. I’d love to support your life with them, and be supported in turn!

It’s wonderful to be clear, awake and open-hearted at this amazing time on sweet Mother Earth, as the love and light comes in assist her movement into a new and golden time – Lady Gaia at her most beautiful! We passed into this new Age at the end of last year, and are now being showered with the high energies that will help us begin to move ourselves joyfully into a harmonious and abundant way of life. Since this Golden Age is prophecied to be 1000 years long, we are just tiny newborns in it.

One of the Mayan groups speaks of the people of the new time as “people made of honey”, and I love that image. It means we will be SWEET, deeply connected with flowers and creating wonderful, nurturing, healing things for all around us! It’s a practice for me to ask myself, “How can I be made of honey today? What kind of being and doing will help the flowering of life on Earth today?”

My home is named FLOWERSONG, which comes from the teachings shared by the wisdom teachers of the Americas who studied the Dawn Star’s ways in the central American temples and then came back north, spreading loving wisdom about the flowering of the Earth and All Our Relations. We will built the new world on these ways.

Guest Biography:

Lorraine Simone, Rev., M.S. Ed., C.Ht.

Lorraine Simone, M.S. Ed. in Environmental Science, is a well known speaker, inspired visionary and beloved teacher who effectively bridges the gap between the mystery in living a spiritual life and its quantum perspective and the nitty-gritty of Western thinking and its pragmatic perception.

In 1990 Ms. Simone founded Moonfire Meeting House on Eastern Long Island and dedicated it to creating community and living in harmony with the Earth. She is also the editor of its newsletter called Ways of the Talking Stick. Ms. Simone started The School of Women's Ways in 1995 to empower women and girls, to heal their lives and change the world. With humor and devotion, she designs and offers programs such as Compassionate Communication, A Goddess for All Seasons, and Vibrational Medicine Ways, and teaches workshops that bring to life her expertise in Deep Ecology, Healing Arts, Women's Mysteries, Creation Spirituality, and Shamanic Practices.

Ms. Simone's search for personal and planetary balance through communion with the Earth and the ways of the sacred feminine has led her to Native elders and teachers from many traditions. When she opened her retail store, Planet Earth, in Manhattan in 1985, she met Oh Shinnáh Fast Wolf, a renowned Apache-Mohawk teacher, with whom she has maintained an apprenticeship for eighteen years. Oh Shinnáh dreamed the Spirit name Deep Arrow Woman for Ms. Simone, as is the tradition of her people, and performed a naming ceremony for her. Today Deep Arrow Woman initiates her own apprentices who form the back bone of Moonfire Meeting House as the Deep Arrow Lodge.

Deep Arrow is committed to keeping alive and making available to her community the sacred ways and ceremonies that Native and other earth-honoring teachers have given to her. Together with Oh Shinnáh, she leads groups of non-native participants on an annual quest for transformation called The Journey of the Waters, an ancient cellular healing and initiation ceremony of the people called Apache.

Ms. Simone's inspirational CDs and forthcoming, "Spiritual Quest - Tools and Practices for the Everyday Shaman", are based on her Compassionate Communication Series. Her tireless pursuit to bring the vision and compassion of the Sacred Feminine to the people of the Earth forms the basis of Deep Arrow's forthcoming book.

Ms. Simone has been featured on numerous TV and radio shows, and in magazines and newspapers, including Newsweek, New York Magazine, and The New York Times. (See below for links to articles and audio interviews.)

Deep Arrow maintains a spiritual counseling practice in Southampton and Manhattan and facilitates "A Circle of Women" from Montauk to Manhattan. Locally and nationally her work includes: facilitating workshops, circles and retreats; creating personal rituals for clients; and conducting ceremonies for individuals and communities. Deep Arrow's ministerial work encompasses wedding ceremonies and other life observances.

Guest Biography:

Luisa was born into a family lineage of healers. Her father was a physician and psychiatrist. Her maternal grandmother was Concepción Palacios, the first female physician in Central America; her great-grandmother Báltazara was a curandera in El Sauce, Nicaragua.

In early childhood, Luisa began experiencing inner visions, clairvoyant dreams and auditory guidance. The lack of  spiritual mentors at that that time meant she lived with the emotional pain and confusion that comes from navigating blindly between consensual reality and a vivid non-ordinary inner reality.

At 14, Luisa had a breakdown of her rational and perceptual processes. She was told by an inner voice that she was “shedding a skin” and that the process would last for one year. The experience subsided one year later. This period of isolation and destabilization led to a deeper opening of Luisa’s psychic and intuitive abilities.

This period of inner deconstruction facilitated a disintegration and subsequent reorganization of ego structures, allowing Luisa natural access to non-ordinary states of consciousness. Such a core death-rebirth experience is a common feature of initiation into a shamanic life.

Education & Training

Luisa has a B.A. in humanities from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. She was an assistant producer for the Source Theater Company and editorial assistant to editor Richard Peabody of Gargoyle Magazine in Washington, DC. Through Peabody, she encountered the writings of Paul Bowles (“The Sheltering Sky”), and felt a kinship with Bowles’ exploration of chaos and magic in the unconscious territories of the psyche.

Feeling alienated from American culture and values, Luisa left the U.S. to find Paul Bowles in Morocco. She met and spent time with him; it was a pivotal experience for her.

From Morocco she went on to Ibiza, Spain where she met master-healer Ioanna Salajan*. Ioanna saw in Luisa the natural qualities of a healer and mystic. She recognized her as the student for whom she had been waiting to transmit the teachings of her lineage. She invited Luisa to engage in a one-on-one apprenticeship over the course of the next four-and-a-half years.

After her apprenticeship with Ioanna, Luisa returned to the United States in the early 1990s.

Her healing practice began to blossom by word-of-mouth and Luisa specialized in working shamanically with terminally ill clients. She learned to midwife the death & dying journey for clients and their families. Her work in this area was influenced by the conscious dying teachings of Ram Dass and Stephen Levine.

Luisa studied the trance posture work of Felicitas Goodman with psychologist Johanna Maybury (Cuyamungue Institute). With author and medical astrologer Marcia Starck she learned the foundations of earth-based spiritual ceremony. Her association with Joan Halifax Roshi (Upaya Foundation) deepened Luisa’s understanding of Zazen sitting meditation and Buddhism. She also became an apprentice in the Sweet Medicine Sundance lineage and was initiated in the teachings of meditation master and mystic Osho.

Luisa has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is a licensed psychotherapist in the state of New Mexico.

Luisa is a referring therapist for The Meadows treatment center in Wickenburg, AZ. She has been trained by (and participates in ongoing case-consultation) with Pia Mellody (author of “Facing Codependence” and “Facing Love Addiction”) in family-of-origin emotional trauma resolution therapy.

Luisa’s mission is to assist others in transforming their self-defeating patterns into joyful, passionate authenticity. The ultimate aim is to live a life of integrity, passion, spontaneity and joy. Luisa says: “My relationship with my inner world and the wilderness inside my own being generates an empathic and  respectful relationship with the natural world outside of me. My responsibility as a human being is to be a vessel for beauty and balance and to give that back to the world and to this planet, which give me so much.”

For Luisa, the shamanic path is one that she lives and breathes. It is her life’s work.

Luisa provides shamanic and psychotherapeutic consultation for individuals of all ages, facilitates dynamic workshops, seasonal ceremonies, and ongoing shamanic journey circles. She works in person, by Skype and over the phone with clients in New Mexico, across the U.S. and all over the world. She currently resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Guest Occupation: Warrioress, Religion Researcher, Cherokee, Astrologist
Guest Biography:

At a very early age, I felt a strong connection to “Mother Earth” and Native American memorabilia. I was a warrioress from the beginning (Moon in Aries-Red Hawk) and moved into the city, on the streets at 13. I grew away from the sacred and moved into the survival mode, however, this heightened my “connection” to my feelings and ability to hear. At the same time I  also had been fascinated with the stars and my relation to them, giving me an advantage when I could “read” people when I knew their Sun sign, (or so I believed) which was so important to my survival. Life is my teacher and I am so grateful for the protection of Great Spirit and my Guides, walking on a path that could have had a completely different outcome!

During the course of my lifetime, I have studied many of the world’s major religions and continue to study, learn and teach about my findings. Especially of note here, I later found out about my own Cherokee heritage and when I started reading and researching the Native American ways I woke up. Lynn V. Andrews was my first, later it would be the works of Sun Bear and Wabun Wind, Brooke Medicine Eagle and her music, Mary Summer Rain, and the quest continues with great awe! I am humbled and honored to share this information. Also reading all of Sun Bear’s & Wabun’s books helps to embrace nature in such a beautiful way. It certainly feels like the time is NOW … Mother Earth needs us to LOVE her back. So Be It!

Thank you for visiting our website and we hope you return often, we are posting new information all the time! In gratitude for all the love and support … AHO Mitakuye’ Oyasin (To All our Relations), Star Savoy from the Heart Tribe

P.S. In 1986 I married my Beloved Twin Flame in a sacred ceremony “where the two shall be as ONE” … We are Star and continue shining our Light wherever we are!

Guest Biography:

My birth name is Danita. I go by the name Llenar now – an 8 vibration. The Chinese say it’s lucky, especially for money.  In some numerology disciplines it’s said to be the “God” number, whole and complete.  Others say it represents infinity.

I am an ordained minister, consultant, trainer, teacher and educator with 20+ years experience working with individuals and groups, both nationally and internationally. My workshops/trainings have ranged in content from vision and mission statement creation; team building, leadership, change management, self-esteem and empowerment of teachers and students and computer programming.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. I am a Senior Facilitator of the International Black Summit, a Life Skills Coach, a certified “Why . . .” teacher, and a State of Illinois substitute teacher. I am also a recipient of the Chicago Urban League Excellence Award.

I’ve traveled around the US, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe and Africa. I’d like to visit Alaska and Australia.

I’ve worked as a laundry folder, typist, secretary, administrative assistant, 5th grade school teacher, computer programmer, computer programming instructor, course developer and trainer, partner in a t-shirt company, leadership training consultant, personal life coach and consultant.

I learned Computer Programming, through the Chicago Urban League Computer Training Program, to get a job,.  I was hired at Illinois Bell.  I was a programmer in their Payroll Dept. and then taught Computer Progamming in their computer lab. When PCs came about, Illinois Bell (which was then Ameritech) created a PC Lab.  I used to hang out there between students, before and after work.  I used the self-guided courses and learned DOS, word processing (remember WordPerfect?) and spreadsheets.  After leaving Ameritech and I put together a PC Basics course and taught bakers at Nabisco.

I’ve taught 5th graders general education, high schoolers Data Processing, PC hardware and software essentials; and grade school after-school Reading and Math.  I was also a volunteer Adult Literacy (reading) tutor for several years.

When my Dad retired in 1996 I gave him his first PC and taught him DOS.  He now has his own laptop and is on Facebook!  I’ve taught PC Basics to other seniors.

In the spiritual/metaphysical arena, since my early 20s, I’ve read books, attended seminars/workshops/trainings, listened to audios, watched videos and learned from Ernest Holmes, Wayne Dyer, Dr. Bruce Lipton, dr. michael ryce, Dan Millman, Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, Dr. Hew Len, Mabel Katz, Brugh Joy, Byron Katie, Florence Scovell Schinn, Catherine Ponder, Eric Butterworth, Louise Hay, Marianne Williamson, Neville Goddard, Abraham-Hicks, Ramtha, etc.  The concepts which resonated with me over the years are that:  no body “out there” is doing it to me; the source, perpetuation and remedy for whatever is going on in my life, is right here, within me; underneath a complaint is a commitment; and no one is to blame, not even me (yet there are consequences for my actions).

It is Bonny's understanding from her Angels and Guides that guiding and aiding others to become aware of their full potential is part of her mission in this physical world this time.

Bonny has also studied with the Laika Shamans (medicine Men and Women) Alberto Villardo and teachers  in Peru, Jayne Feldman, Doreen Virtue, Linda Martin, Carol Cicacco, Carolyn Myss, Sharon Houlihan, Josephine Sponheimer and others over the years.
