In the year 1970, four young musicians from the South Bay of Los Angeles, came together to create a new invigorating style of music.
Exploring the possibilities of progressive, classical and world influences, yet rooted with the soul of the blues and R&B, Joseph Puerta, Christopher North, David Pack and Burleigh Drummond created a new sound that was defined and recognized as “Ambrosia”.
Originally labeled as America’s answer to the progressive invasion of such English acts as “Yes” and “King Crimson”, the group quickly proved it was all that and much more as it’s albums painted aural landscapes covering the gamut of musical styles and attracting the collaboration of such cultural icons as, Leonard Bernstein, Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and Alan Parsons.
In it’s brief recording history, Ambrosia garnered 5 Grammy Nominations, 5 Hit Singles, Heavy FM Airplay and the admiration and respect of the musical community. All this was in addition to Sold Out concerts around the world.

But my greatest teachings have poured into my mind from my own precious unseen Spiritual Advisors. Whenever I whine about wanting the protection of an ashram or a formed group, the learning increases.
As a small child I remembered where I had lived before, where the colours were more vibrant, softer and yielding. The love there was strong. These memories have been a beacon of Light pushing me through my life’s challenges. My own willfulness has had to be broken a number of times and yet I can smile and recognize that Spirit in Love was always present patiently encouraging me and others to have faith, to know the beat of the “I AM” pulsing through our cells in a rhythmic exchange with experience. I learned to know and feel that we are always BELOVED.

Lindsay Berra is a freelance sports journalist based in New Jersey. Brad and Kasey Wallis began their journey with Julius in this life thru a near death experience. In 2007 Brad was in a massive car accident that left him powerless and where he had the opportunity to re learn everything in this life. Though people who know Kasey and Brad Wallis will tell you that they really are just regular folks, they certainly are having an extraordinary life experience together. Prior to the events that will unfold before you, it is curious to note that Brad and Kasey were only acquainted casually, through one of Kasey’s family members, who worked very closely with Brad at his construction company. Over time, they developed a friendship and as it was spiritually destined, love blossomed in their hearts.
Their journey began to unfold through the unfortunate and traumatic events that ensued, when Brad was undergoing treatment for a brain injury; a direct result of a car accident. While recovering in hospital, Brad endured deadly complications, from a reaction to this medical treatment, and fell into a coma. During the hours that he was absent from this realm, Brad was tenderly and lovingly embraced, and taught by a most benevolent, high light-energy group. They would aid in his recovery and together, with the collaboration of “another,” would teach human beings, not only what Brad learned, but much, much more, with their generous assistance. The unparalleled loyalty that grew over a great many lives between Brad and one of the high light-group’s members was so steadfast, that when it came time for Kasey and Brad to entitle this group, it was only natural that Brad would adopt this light being’s name, from a significant shared past life experience, and JULIUS was borne.

The Burrito Brothers celebrate an illustrious past while serving up fresh contributions for a bright future. They continue to climb the branches of the “many tall pines” first planted in 1968. Trace the winding paths of Country and Rock & Roll back, you’ll find them there. Anyone who had a heart and ears can tell these guys are world-class musicians and songwriters with one listen. Here they are in the years, carrying on the tradition of classic late-1960s and early ’70s “Hippie Country-Rock” music, expanding its boundaries, always exploring new horizons. Country Rock’s big bang came in Los Angeles in the late ‘60s. In 1968, Ian Dunlop and Barry Tashian started The Flying Burrito Brothers. Then in 1969, with Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman at the helm, the group released their classic first LP, “The Gilded Palace of Sin”. Since then the band has carried on, always evolving. This year marks the 50th anniversary of that classic LP. Gram Parsons’ original vision for the band is still going strong. “I just ran 20 red lights in his honor,” says Chris P James. At the beginning of the 1980s the band moved their base of operations from LA to Nashville. At that point the name was shortened to The Burrito Brothers. The band has remained in Nashville ever since. Now, The Burrito Brothers are right on track. “It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for we… mmm feelin’ good!” says Chris P.
The band features Chris P. James (who’s been involved with the band since 2009), guitarist Bob Hatter, Tony Paoletta on pedal steel and drummer Peter Young…all extremely talented musicians who love being involved with the band’s legacy and creating new music to keep that legacy alive. They continue to carry the torch via The Notorious Burrito Brothers release, which features the band’s trademark tight ensemble playing, beautiful harmonies and excellent songwriting. Jeremy Butler serves as IAVA’s Chief Executive Officer. Jeremy joined IAVA with 15+ years of experience providing substantive and strategic counsel to leaders in high-profile government and private sector offices, to include the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security. He is a graduate of Knox College and the U.S. Naval War College where he received a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies. He is a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy Reserve. Mr. Robin Hood is a former Rating Veteran Service Representative (also called an “RVSR” or “claims adjudicator”) with over five years of experience with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. He brings an insider’s perspective and understanding to the Morgan & Morgan team regarding the complicated and sometimes frustrating area of Veterans claims. When a veteran files a claim for benefits, he would apply the laws, regulations and policies of the VA to the evidence presented to make a decision.
Mr. Hood is passionate about helping Veterans and sees it as his true calling, and in late March 2014 he decided that he could best serve Veterans by bringing his institutional knowledge to Morgan & Morgan and help represent Veterans whose claims have been wrongly denied. He is married to a disabled Air Force Veteran, so he is familiar with what it’s like to be a consumer of VA services as well (such as putting up with long wait times, confusing paperwork, and frustration).
Prior to working for the VA, he attended law school at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi.
Mr. Hood didn’t plan on becoming a lawyer until his father passed away suddenly. His education and career up to that point was computers and telecommunications, but after dealing with the legal fallout from his father’s passing, he discovered an aptitude for legal work, and he started law school the following year.
His wife, Dana, is an artist who paints with oil and watercolor. When Robin has sufficient time and money, he can usually be found working on restoring his 1968 Pontiac Catalina or his vintage motorhome, a 1977 GMC Palm Beach. They love to go kayak fishing with the Northeast Florida chapter of Heroes On The Water, an organization that takes Veterans and First Responders fishing.

Sherman Gillums, Jr., the Chief Advocacy Officer of AMVETS, began his military career in the U.S. Marine Corps when he enlisted at the age of 17. He quickly ascended into leadership, retiring as a chief warrant officer. During his military career, he earned two Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medals, the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Drill Instructor Ribbon, and Global War on Terror Service Medal. He was recognized as Battalion Drill Instructor of the Year and meritoriously promoted to the rank of staff sergeant in 1999, followed by appointment to the rank of warrant officer a year later.
Four months after the September 11, 2001 attacks, as he prepared to deploy to Afghanistan with the 1st Marine Division, he was involved in a vehicle collision at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and became severely disabled at age 29. He received an honorable discharge from military service and went on to pursue a new career in advocacy for veterans and their families.
He began his career in veteran advocacy as a national service officer in San Diego, where he developed VA benefits claims and appeals for veterans and families in the area. He continued his work in the VA benefits claims arena as an appellate representative at the Board of Veterans’Appeals in Washington, DC. He was promoted to associate executive director of Paralyzed Veterans of America’s veterans benefits department in 2011 and subsequently served as the organization’s executive director for two years before joining the leadership of AMVETS.
Mr. Gillums holds a master’s degree from the University of San Diego School of Business Administration and completed his executive education at Harvard Business School.
He has written editorials for the NY Times, The Hill, and Buffalo News publications, and he has been regularly quoted in Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Military Times. He has testified before Congress as an expert witness on veterans benefits and has appeared on many news shows including CNN, Fox, CBS News, and C-SPAN, and many more.

The primary benefit of cortisone is that its injections can offer fast-acting relief of inflamed muscles, joints, tendons, and bursa. An unfortunate side effect of cortisone; however, is how it breaks down tissues, rather than healing them. In short, cortisone treatment treats the pain, but not its fundamental causes.
He is Board-certified in Sports Medicine. After completing cardiology research at Harvard University and UCSF, he obtained a medical degree from Michigan State University.
