What Can You Give a Person Who Has Everything... and a person who has Nothing? How about a Hanging Hug?

Action Hero Network Volunteers, Cory Richardson(Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada), Liane Lippert(Nashua, New Hampshire, USA) and Stefan Guy(Calgary, Alberta, Canada) are in Uganda seeking support for projects at two orphanages to give the gift of clean water and education this Holiday Season.
160 children are drinking brown river water at God Cares AIDS Project and Orphanage, located in Kanungu, a small rural village in western Uganda on the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

CleanWaterNow.org donated two UV water filters to Good Samaritan School located in Bunabumali, a small rural village on the slopes of Mt. Elgon in eastern Uganda, on the border of Kenya.

One water filter will be moved to God Cares. A solar panel and battery are needed to provide power, costing $400 including transportation. Funding is needed for the solar panel by New Years day, so these volunteers can move with it to God Cares January 3nd.

Classrooms at Good Samaritan Orphanage and Needy School are lacking tin roofing sheets costing $500, including transport. Land has been leveled and wood is stacked to build classrooms for three additional grade levels at Good Samaritan School, but they have no way of paying for tin roofing sheets so construction has been halted.

Liane Lippert will remain in Uganda until February 27th and can receive funds for the tin roofing sheets until close to that date.
We are raising funds by selling hammocks for $60 at HangingHugs.com. Small donations can also be made through Paypal on HangingHugs.com or through email money transfers to cor.contact@gmail.com
Hanging Hugs will be hand delivered in February to supporters, or they will be asked to send required postage fees if necessary.

ActionHeroNetwork.net is a 501 (C)3 U.S. tax status social profit organization of the International Humanities Center.

Cory Richardson can be reached via cor.contact@gmail.com or through cell phone in Uganda: 256-075-664-2762

You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.
