The Bay of Pigs & JFK’s Assassination

Today is the 50th anniversary of the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba.
This event was a major milestone in the series of crucial factors that led to John F. Kennedy’s assassination and the coup d’etat by Vice-President Lyndon Johnson and the top elements of the national security state.
We now know that the Soviets knew in advance the date of the invasion.
We now know that Fidel Castro also knew in advance that the invasion was to take place and prepared his military forces for it.
And most importantly, we now know that the CIA and the Pentagon knew that both the Soviets and Cubans were aware of the invasion and set Kennedy up, forcing him to choose between launching massive U. S. air strikes to aid the anti-Castro brigades the CIA had covertly trained in Guatemala with a full U. S. military invasion aimed at regime change, or for JFK to accept disgrace and defeat because of his repeated stated policy to the Pentagon’s Joint Chiefs of Staff and CIA rejecting such overt military intervention...
