civility

What is responsible for the growing incivility and bullying behavior in America today? Rude or disrespectful behavior in our society has become a major problem in schools, in the workplace, in politics and in our own homes, bowling alleys and backyards. U.S. workers report they have experienced or witnessed some kind of bullying—verbal abuse, insults, threats, screaming, sarcasm, ostracism or sexual assault. It does not help that the two major parties in government are not civil either. Civility refers to the behavior between members of society that create a social code that is the foundation of our society. This lack of civility explains a great deal about why we can't come together as a nation. Simple acts of courtesy require that we recognize and respect the other person.

Restorative Justice

Please join Internet radio host Dr. James Avington Miller Jr. for an in-depth look at 'Restorative Justice & Dismantling of School to Prison Pipeline' in our public schools. Dr. Miller will explain how social justice, restorative justice, and the school to prison pipeline are all connected and how dismantling the pipeline can come about through restorative justice practices in our public schools. Schools and school districts across the states are embracing restorative justice at a rapid pace, but few teachers, students, and parents know just what restorative justice is and understand how to implement it. Do you know what restorative justice is?

Free and safe, how we indubitably get there
I read once that "The believer has only one battle, and that is against doubt-unbelief--
I say, "Indubitably," --without a doubt, which is why our feature phrase (word) for the week is "Indubitably"
Each of us confronts many situations in which we might say, "Indubitably". Here's a test:

Headlined, Meta Mondays, October 23, 2017

Meta Mondays on the BBSradio.com Network brings you fascinating topics on all things spiritual and metaphysical. Dr. Low is the author of Universal Spiritual Philosophy and Practice. He discussed all beliefs, all spiritual practices.  Of course, he is quite adept at Dream analyzing. After having been a Psychic Medium® and Angel Practitioner® for many years, I began to realize many people were very interested in their dreams. ( as I was!) I decided to learn as much as I could over the years so that I would interpret what my dreams were saying to me. Occasionally I would help clients, letting them know, however, that I was not a professional at this, and I never charged them for that. When I first interviewed Dr. David, I was thrilled to find out that he also did this.

Featured, Guest, David Low MS, PhD October 23, 2017

Guest, David Low MS, PhD

Guest Name:
David Low MS, PhD
David Low MS, PhD
Guest Occupation:
Community Counseling & Religious Studies
Guest Biography:

David Low, MS PhD is an author, former Adjunct Professor of Religion, drug counselor, and entertainer—a juggler for a few years out of college (which he still enjoys doing for charity groups). Today he does dreamwork, teaches meditation, and speaks on topics in popular spirituality and religion.

The first time David meditated in college, he had a powerful experience of light and transcendence. After getting his counseling degree he traveled extensively and visited different Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Sufi, Jewish, Christian, and Orthodox Sunni and Shi’ia Muslim groups, all the while recording sometimes “spectacular” dream experiences.

After getting initiation from his major teacher, David began having powerful dreams which ended up directing major decisions in his life, sometimes involving deities and other consistent entities aside from his teacher. In 2014, an epiphany” led him to write his first book, Universal Spiritual Philosophy and Practice: in Informal Textbook for Discerning Seekers.

His greatest passion is getting people to tune into more profound dimensions of spirituality, at both the personal and political levels. Aside from dreamwork, another tool he uses to do this is his “9-Point Spirituality System,” which helps people fine-tune what they are already doing in their lives to reach deeper levels of their own being.

Guest, Cyd Deathe

Guest Name:
Cyd Deathe
Guest Occupation:
Executive Director of Marine Families of Tampa, FL
Guest Biography:

Marine Families was founded in 2004 with its home base located in Tampa, FL.  Ms. Cyd Deathe is a founder and its current executive director.

The organization was an idea born from 7 "newbie" Marine parents who were preparing to send their sons/daughters to war.   Needing the support of others who understood what they were going through, a monthly "muster" was established to offer a time of support and fellowship. During the years that followed the vision grew, as did our outreach, and we evolved into an organization serving a variety of needs to military and veteran families locally, throughout the US and across the globe.

Providing support, networking and camaraderie; we believe this military journey is not meant to walk alone.

Our projects, programs and annual events create opportunities for community involvement  while promoting awareness and education on the daily sacrifices being made.

While founded by Marine Families we offer inclusion of all branches, veterans and patriotic supporters.
